Well, you could try sleeping from 4am to 7am (3 hours), go to class, then go home and sleep for an additional 4-5 hours. I've read it's not natural for humans to sleep for 8 hours straight, anyway, so I wouldn't think it would be too difficult. Are they letting you sleep at any other time? They should be. I'm in a fraternity, and while we have different activities planned for our pledges leading up to initiation, their well-being is out number one priority. If they are depriving you of sleep, that's hazing, and they could get in a lot of trouble for it. Make sure you eat a good breakfast every morning (eggs, or some other kind of protein, raw fruit and a slice of whole wheat bread). Stay away from all foods with added sugar (juice, boxed food, candy, etc.), and do not consume alcohol. Also, make sure to get some exercise. All these things should help keep your body healthy and feeling alert throughout the day.

Just a little exercise. Sometimes when I am up late doing work I will take a break and walk up some stairs or jump up and down a couple times. This really helps me regain focus. Unfortunately, I feel tired again in 15-30 minutes and have to do it again.
