A lot of 80's music. I am going to DJ two weddings in the next few months, and some of my favorites are Is This Love? and The Deeper the Love by Whitesnake; Waiting for a Girl Like You and I Want to Know What Love is by Foreigner; or Open Arms, When You Love a Woman, and Faithfully by Journey.

There are a lot of great love songs out there perfect for dancing to at a wedding reception.

Usually a good DJ will have a playlist and they are experienced to know when to play what. Tehy also help coordinate the different activities of the receptionm such as cake cutting ceremony and the first dances, so I would check with your DJ then you don't have to worry about it.

Here are some sites with the top wedding reception music suggestions, you can also search for party songs or wedidng songs there are lots of sites out there. Good luck!

Elvis Presley -- Can't help falling in love with you. You need at least one disco song for retro line dancing. A salsa song. You need one polka. The electric slide and the chicken dance. The hand jive one. Anne Murray - Can I have this dance for the rest of my life. Journey - Faithfully . I can't think of all the other ones they have at weddings. The DJ's usually have suggested play lists. you need one for father daughter dance. you need your song for your first dance with hubby. you kind of pick a variety of fast and slow and a couple from each decade because you will have people of all ages .

If the song's orginal version requires a radio edit don't put it on your playlist.
