If you think non-smokers complain now, wait til they develop health problems from secondhand smoke. Then you'll never hear the end of it.

Frankly I'm sick to death of smokers complaining that they have the right to infringe on people's health with their dirty habit. Not all smokers, but the ones who insist that just because they can smoke that the whole world has to accomidate them as they slowly kill themselves.

SO, basically you are blaming the smoker, and NOT the company who sold her the cigarettes? are you for real??? do you even REALIZE how addictive cigarette smoking is? This is the tobacco companies fault, and not the hoards of victims they created. Also, tobacco users are getting taken advantage of by all the frivolous taxes that they are overcharged because they now have an addiction. Go back, and do a little research on the commercials they used to air back in the 50's thru 90's about the cigarette. for instance, "lucky strike" had a slogan about the safer, cleaner cigarette, "like a breath of fresh air". it is quite ridiculous, and a total ignorance. George Burns lived until he was 101. he smoked a cigar everyday. radon, for instance will give you lung cancer. tested your home lately? alot of cleaning products will cause cancer. Is that the housewifes fault for using cleaners for her home? Fluoride which is actually a dangerous poison in large quantities will kill you. do you use fluoride? brush your teeth often? you may die when crossing the road, if hit by a car. will you still cross the road? recently, people have died because they ate tainted peanut butter. salmonella. is it their fault that they happened to want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich because they were hungry? what about people, the brave men and women who goto war to protect their country from terrorism? was it their fault that they took a bullet to protect your rights??? you are a hater, pure and simple. Those children, it is a darn shame they lost their mother, and YOU want to punish those poor children, just because YOU hate something. shame on you!

Really bad when you are at a bus stop and someone smoking sits next to you and blows smoke in your face without asking do you mind if they smoke, and the people who flick cigarette butts towards the kerb and sometimes hit people walking past, or the long line of people smoking that you have to try to hold your breath past to get into a shopping mall,or the people who hold a baby and a cigarette in the same arm. Or how about the people who reek of smoke who go by whereby the smell makes you want to vomit.

It used to. but i ignore them now. I live in ARKANSAS, and they just passed a law that you can not smoke in a public place. I just go outside with all the other smokers, that is when i smoke. Besides it is more Healthy not to, Now I smoke less. Maybe it was a good thing for me.

Yeah, kinda, everyone around me smokes, so I'm used to it. And people in my town don't really care.

other people complaining has never actually made me sick.
you are not following your own advice. i think it's a bad idea to insist that others keep their opinions to themselves. because they might expect us to do the same.
and i want to be able to express my opinions. i think it's healthier in the long run to have free expressions of opinions. if the opinions of others are bothering you, you can think about looking inside yourself to see what is really bothering you. because others' opinions don't really physically hurt you. it's your own reaction to them that is bothering you.

and I think people who smoke should keep the SMOKE to themselves...and it would be a much nicer place.

my mom has asthma, and my little niece gets real sick being around smokers.....they get sick for hrs....not like any smoker cares.

edit: so...morning....if someone is eating a meal they should just get up and walk off & leave their meal? what if their waiting in line??? why should non-smokers put up with smokers???? smokers sure don't seem to like to have to put up with non-smokers :(

the worst ones i hear about are the ex smokers , giving it , in my opinion if people are going out to work they are entitled to do what they want with their time and money , as long as they are considerate to other's whats the problem ?
