ok so I'm 14 and this summer I helped out a group of little kids at our local YMCA. now, one of them was a great little kid; he never gave me trouble, and he was so cute! just an all around great little 6 year old. Now at the end of camp he said he wanted to write to me over the school year and stuff so I need to write him a little note with my address, but I'm not quite sure what to write. THANKS!!
I was thinking something like:
Joshua,
you are a great kid, and were one of the best kids at camp this summer.
If you still want to write to me, here's my address (insert address here)
Love your friend,
Susanna

it sounds great the way it is, except i would leave the love part out and sign it your friend. some parents are touchy and might take that the wrong way.

I think the first thing to do would be to get approval from his parents. Maybe you could write them a note and put it in the same envelop explaining the situation. Also avoid the "love" maybe put "from a good friend" or something like that. But number one priority is to get parental consent!! Everything else looks great. Its good to see you had such a positive influence on the little gaffer. You have just helped him develop a love for summer camp!!
