I'm already like "I'm so sorry to hear that" and stuff but it doesn't seem like it's enough to cheer him up.

just hang out with him and show him a good time. its hard for us guys to express true feelings of sadness and sympathy towards eachother. just take him out for some fun and prove youre there for him.

dont act like youre desperate to talk about how he feels, i had a friend like that and we arent friends anymore. i think he had acrush on me

It will take a while for him to cheer up. The only thing that you can do for him right now is be there to listen when he needs to talk. Try taking him out to play pool or skateboard or whatever it is that you do together. This will help to take his mind off of the situation for a little while. Eventually the conversations of her will get to be less and less until he doesn't mention her at all. Good Luck. You are truly a good friend

There is only one way to mend a broken heart: time. I've been there. It took me like a month to get over my ex and then another year before I could talk about him and now it's been 3 years and I haven't seen him since we broke up. I am not saying it will be the same with your friend, and I can't tell you what to do other then be there any time he needs to talk. I can also tell you what not to do. DONT try and tell him anything like "you're better off without her". Eventually, that will be okay. but he has to be over it first. Saying stuff like that now will only make it harder because he probably still wants her.

DUDE!!! U have to do a guys night thing. Like, round up ur buddies, go do something active in the day, skateboard, skimboard, amusement park, sumthn, then at night, do sumthing like pool. Do as much with the guys to show that they are there for em, but dont be gay... like, dont repeat urself over and over. just take him places to keep his mind busy. Go-karts, all of that good stuff.

You should take him out and hang out with him a lot so hes not alone. The more he stays home alone the more he is going to sit there and think about her. Just help him keep busy and stay positive, so he can get his mind off of her.
