The word Christian means Christ like. I love this sweet song that is called "Lord I want to be like Jesus in my heart. In my heart." We take on the attitude of Christ. We are not God but we live by his Laws and strive to be like him. No man or woman has ever been perfect. We can only try to live our lives as closely as possible.

We act like what God would want, at least the Christians i know. Not many Christians act like that, it's only a stereotype. We're forgiving, friendly, there, and helpful.
Now God is like too, so i guess we act a bit like God then. Is that so bad after all?
I don't think so.
God bless.

I am assuming that you are referring to why do so many Christians act like they were God by judging. If not, shoot, cause that is sort of where my answer will go.
I am grateful that you didn't say Christians in general, so thank you very much for that :) <= (that's a smiley face, seeing that YA doesn't have smilies, I did that.) Anyways, many think that they are on a different level then everybody else. Many even non-Christians feel that way, and that is a normal feeling. But, they take to an extra leve, I, myself am guilty of acting like I was God. I think we all are guilty of doing it to some extent or another, like we pass by a bunch of giggling girls and think: Preppies, grrr face.

I'm not a Christian but was raised in a Christian household and have always been around Christians so I can honestly say that I have never seen any Christian act like they are God. You must be reading more into what you are seeing than is actually there.

Speaking as a Catholic,it is my observation that many fundamentalists do presume to interpret for themselves and then pronounce judgement of,well, pretty much everything. There is no coherence to their theology,if you could even call it that. And since their "Bible-based" concept is basically the equivilent of a do-it-yourself-kit version of Christianity,it should come as no surprize that many of them play God as it suits their fancy. They do not recognize any authority other than their own ill-informed and untrained interpretation of scripture. It's a travesty from a Catholic perspective.

One of the laws that is "universal" and not either denominational or dispensational nor is it Old Testament or New Testament... It is just GOD:
"Judge not lest you be judged, for exactly like you call it in another is exactly how it will be measured back to you!!" "Who are you who judges another O man/woman, for in that you judge YOU do the same things".
That's Bible, That's GOD, NOT Christians words.

Great question!!!!! Definitely an accurate observation in my opinion.
I think they use the bible as justification to pass judgment and they like feeling superior.
