Muslims, a serious question ?

You keep posting that your not the bad guys many think you are. What, if anything are you doing to stop the terror your religion is causing? I lost a good friend in the london attacks and I want to know if any of the people of islam are stopping terrorisim, or are you just on the internet saying it's a religion of peace?

Come on I know some of you are out there.

Hello. Well I can understand your reason to ask this question. I am truly sorry for your loss, and anyone who has lost a loved one in this manner, by the hands of hate.

We are doing a lot. The only problem is that coverage of the Muslim communities would rather be wasted on things which would justify peoples discontent towards us. Maybe if more people were to try and understand Islam, and more media coverage were given to us.. it would be more prevalent to you how much we are doing. I was born and raised in NY and so when the 9/11 attacks happened, I was just as furious as anyone else.

#1-- Because so many innocent lives had been taken
#2-- Because these people has tarnished the name of Muslims
#3-- One attack lead to another, and now there are innocents dying in Iraq, 12,000+ civilians and numerous amount of troops.

Think about it.. Coming online and saying these things is just a way of reaching out and saying that Muslims and Islam condemn terrorism. The problem is, we are never given a platform to state our ideas. Everytime a Muslim tries to speak we are stopped. I am president of the Muslim Student Association in my college, and despite the number of rallies and fund-raisers we have had, despite our attempt to reach out against terrorism... NOTHING was ever given media coverage. A mere story, on the 15th page of the newspaper (a local one).. was given on me... not even the event itself.

Islam and Muslims only love and tolerate. The Quran only speaks of love for each other. People despite our attempts take verses from the Quran out of context, and never bother asking what they mean all the while reaching their own bizzare conclusions about Islam and Muslims.

Murder, Suicide.. both these things are major sins in Islam. Anyone who kills a innocent is given the punishment by Allah, as if he has killed every person on earth. Think about it... Why would we NOT speak out against it. I can pull out verses right now, and give you long lists from the Quran how vile a murderer is, and how Islam condemnes Terrorism.

Also... It is not really fair that 1.6 million Muslims are given the blame of the actions of a few hypocrites. What can we really do that completely stops it? It is not as if terrorists wear badges which say "I am a terrorist". There have been SO many cruel events in history.. but people have never blamed the whole nation, or all of the people for their events... why ISLAM??

Terrorism is everywhere. It is in ignorance, in the violence, drugs, rapes, domestic rapes, pedophilia, racism, etc.... These things have been forever arround. How about we try and understand each other first.. stop these things... and stop generalizing. That should make a good start..

While I'm sure the murderous ones are an extreme minority (not that that means much in a population of a billion people), I have trouble seeing them as a bunch of innocents when I regularly read comments, even here, that claim it's okay to degrade women, claim that the West deserves to die, claim that the Jews run the world, and claim that sharia law is a good thing. I've seen others in favor of squelching free speech (condemning Salman Rushdie and the Danish cartoons).

Murderous or not, these ideas are harmful to civilizations.



However, I do NOT blame individual Muslims for terrorism, and I do NOT advocate military action against Muslim countries, not even Iran (which should be dealt with with diplomacy and economic sanctions).

I don't think all Muslims loathe dogs, etc. But officially dogs are very unclean and so they are supposed to stay away from them- it is all denominations of Islam that follow that. It just depends on the individual how closely they follow the rule, some people are more observant than others (in all religions).

My country is also victim of terrorism actions.
But we don't get ourselves into a muddle with Islam and all the Muslims of the world; nor scandalmongering.
We zero in and fight it .
Althought, we have to make a larger separation between terrorism and Resistance

I don't know what to do besides speaking out against terrorism. I've never met any person who is a terrorist, and if I did, surely I would attempt to explain to them the error of their thinking, if I could. Why do you think that Muslims have any more authority over these criminals than non-Muslims do?

Your argument is not valid. I could ask of the Roman Catholics, Columbia is a narco-state and the majority of its citizens are Roman Catholic. Why are the Roman Catholics not speaking out on every TV show, invading Columbia to put an end to the production of coca? I have seen many people addicted and killed as a result of the drug trade. Should I assume that Roman Catholicism is in favor of drugs?

Check the logic of your argument before you make it. Does the fact that the Christian nations of Austria and Germany spawned Hitler mean Christianity is at fault? How about Ireland?

Muslims are speaking out against terrorism and always have, but it rarely makes the evening news. If it bleeds, it leads, and 1 billion Muslims going about their lives and not committing terrorist acts is not exciting enough to engender comment.

I pray that Allah guides you to that which is best in this world and the next. Ameen.

if you have lost One friend in London attacks, then for your own knowledge i lost many of my Brothers and Sisters in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine and many other countries................so, what would you say ??
or shall i say (as you are saying) that what are you Christians doing to stop these bloodshed in Iraq and Afghanistan ?? what do you do with the terrorism you are practising in the Muslim countries??
what about the Crusades??................hey Brother, the list in never ending, no need to continue....

sorry for your loss,Brother........i won't be ever happy on the death or killing of anybody..........but we have to be judgemental and think why is all this happening, and stop acting like fools.

well, what do you want us to do? becuase fighting terrorism is like stopping someone from committing suicide, you don't always know that they are going to do it and there are no clear signs. so should all sad people be put in mental institution because the MIGHT committ suicide? that sounds crazy and it is the samething w/ terrorism you don't know what is going through someone's head and killing a bunch of innocent people won't stop someone who is determined to do something crazy. and besides all terrorists are not muslims. there are terrorists in every religion. and all of them aren't following their religion, because all religion is peaceful

Muslime never started world wars, French revolution, Chinese revolution, crusades(ordered by popes, the dirtiest human authoritarians at the name of Christianity, killing hundreds of thousands of Muslims in medieval period, the largest killings in that periodi Baitul Muqaddas , wrongly called Jerusalem by them in Palestine territory), Vietnamwar, Soviet occupation & a proxy USA - USSR war on afghanistan soil killing 20,00,000 Muslims by both, invasion on iraq particularly on Falujah & Samarah killing 7,00,000 Muslims there bu USA, Korean war killing 30,00,000 innocent Koreans, 12,00, 000 Indian troops intruding the disputed territory of Kashmir ( Where even UN observers' group too is stationed )since 21 st January, 1990 , killing 7,00,000 innocent Muslim civilians & raping over 60,000 young Muslim girls( for which former Indian prime minister P. V. Narsimha Rao issued special secret order to its army in 1991) only because they are demanding their legitimate right of self determination given by UNSC on 5 th January , 1949, which India deliberately evaded from implementation on fear of losing in public refrendum, the agitation for the same is still continuing peacefully. Everyday Indian communal anti Muslim army illegally stationed there against UNSC resolutions kills 50 persons, for which a fixed qupta has been fixed & the world crying against terrorism does not cry against this millitary terrorism. Kashmir valley has over 70,00,000 Muslims(97% of whole population ) & 12,00,000 fully armed , unbridled Indian troops(99% Hindus , all anti Muslim) without any accountability, i.e., under Indian dictatorship in that area. I've visited there & watched everything in detail. What is your view ?
