Children are equally challenging and can both be considered "hard work". If you teach them to respect you by showing them respect as well (not yelling, hitting them, etc.), they will respond better to you. If you have an attitude like you are defeated, kids can really pick up on that. They KNOW when you are done. Just stay firm and in control and both girls and boys are manageable.

On a very basic level I think girls are a little harder to raise, mainly because they go through a rougher during the teen years.

But each kid is different, some girls will be a lot easier than some boys and vice verse.

I had one child - a boy...

I now have one grandchild - a girl...

From MY experience - the boy was FAR easier than the girl!

For example - "She" has trouble with the whole concept of knowing the difference between "telling lies" & "only joking" - my son never had any difficulty grasping that particular concept...

Is it something I have done differently?

Is it because she is getting input from other sources?

I give up!

I tell you one thing, you don't want to have one to see. Either way you will still have that little girl.
The most excellent thing about having a daughter is that you can almost rest ashured that you will be able to be a part of your grandchildren's lives, and almost certainly you will have an advocate in you golden years.
Boys grow up, become men, and marry themselves a new mother. Little girls grow up, become women, and always need both their mommies and daddies.

without a dad nothing is easy they both need a father image

boys will be less emotional about it usually though

the best help is to get a father from above and then not be in the singles column but have your heart set=and make sure ur going to heaven too=and its time for help from above -read Romans 1 to be thankfull and share the gospel and worship the creator instead of the created-this helped me alot=

the ultimate answer is still the same, its about the one that still loves us unconditionally=

and look up for help from above=In Jesus amazing grace John 3 repented and asked Jesus in my heart to forgive sins and be my friend, amen"
Revelation 3:19&20 as he asks-for the more abundant life=John 10.

it sure beats goin to the other place where its weeping and cursing forever for rejecting Jesus salvation (Matthew 24:51)

best wishes and prayer for you my friend

1st this question must not be here
2nd my answer is you feel that bring up a boy is easier coz you don't try it
i don't mean that it's harder
i think it don't depend on the sex but on the way you bring him \ her up and the environment around your baby , is it quite and full of fun OR vociferate and voracity
the affect on the child is great as he / she in this period of life try to learn every thing going around
