Someone called me ugly at work and this upset me. Am I really that ugly?

I work at a hooters and one of the customers asked me out and I said no thanks I'm already taken, so he then replied I wouldn't of dated your ugly a$$ anyway.

Look, you work at Hooters which means you have nice hooters so you probably are not ugly at all. The guy was a jerk and shot back. You need to build up a defense mechanism. Why not reply at him, "I don't date men with small feet anyway."

If he doesn't get the sarcasm, then there is no hope for him at all.

Hooters is a place known for hot girls, so the fact that you even work there in the first place is a big clue that you're not ugly.

Okay he was just being a jerk cause you turned him down. Don't let stuff like that go to your head. If you are truly already taken then you shouldn't be doubting if you are ugly or not. If you have a boyfriend then he most likely likes you for both your looks and personality. Which personality is way more important than looks, although people usually don't care about personality.

Ok, so you know you're not ugly on the outside. How did you reply? Maybe he was implying that you are ugly on the inside. Obviously you have problems if you have to stroke your ego by posting this. I was a bartender at a strip club years ago. Cut off a person, or reject the advances and they become real asses.

He said that out of anger becauseyou rejected him, so just ignore that comment cause he wouldn't have asked you out in the first place if he wasn't attracted to you or thought that you were nice looking. Plus why do you care what other ppl think of you. If you know that you are nice looking, that's all that matters, you shouldn't allow other pl's opinions create doubt in youself or break your integrity. People will say whatever they want, but that doesn't mean that they are correct so just ignore the idiot.

i work in the same business and men can be rude but u have to brush them off, dont let ur confidence go down. I would have replied "likewise" or said something like "don't try to cover up the fact that your embarrassed, just walk away" if he was with friends. Make sure if you have the chance to stick up for yourself do it and if your boss has anything to say just complain the guy was harassing you.

Just remember - men can't take rejection and will always try to make out like they didn't really fancy you if you reject them - in their mind putting you down is saving them from your rejection and, in effect, making them feel better about themselves.
