alot of people are shocked when people die at certain ages but the facts are that everyone dies.I work with some folks who are shocked when some people die or get sick enough to die.I always say " you have to die " there is no way around it .I don't believe everyone is beautiful at heart past a certain age so this quote is bogus anyway. So whoever came up with this quote doesn't understand the true nature of man.

"In Denial" means that they can not accept that they are going to die. We all are going to die eventually, some sooner than others. When you are old and death is knocking on your doorstep, you are not ready to go, you still want to spend some time here or you are afraid of what lies waiting on the other side. Sounds nuts but it's true.

I think that in the course of everyday life, we "forget" that we are going to die. It's not that we don't know that; it's more like we push it to the back of our minds. Sometimes it seems like people only think they are going to die if they get cancer or are killed in a car or airplane crash.

Have you heard it reported that people say they are most afraid of public speaking? The television personality then says something like, "People are more afraid of public speaking than death!" That always drives me crazy because, of course people are afraid of death more than anything. It's just that people were only thinking about things they were afraid of in life when they were asked that question.

I hope that helps.

Either from the wheel of an abundant life or out of fear, people are not generally open to the idea of death and tend to think in terms of "time", hence, denial. THey tend not to want to face it..........

Some people get so wrapped up in living they forget or deny that death could come at any time.
