But I don't have a son. I only have a cat. What should I do?

I'm not sure what you are suggesting, but please consider this portion of Scripture:
"When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

If you are suggesting that you heard a voice that you think is G-d telling you to kill your cat, I would do some serious contemplation. If you are sane (let's presume you are for the sake of agruement), you need to decide it you think it is really the voice of G-d and not some other voice instead.

Well don't kill it. I'm pretty sure he teasing you, not testing you. Best to realize it's all a myth before the cat gets it.
