I DO feel there's a Universal Energy that I can connect with when I need answers or when I'm feeling particularly in wonder at a gorgeous sunset ... and I don't have any church or book to refer to for the answers. Universal Consciousness is also my idea of what happens after death. I think our conscious energy remains when our corporeal self rots and disintegrates or is cremated.
I'm agnostic and ever since I started hating that story where God let his own son suffer so badly and then die ... I've wanted nothing to do with Christianity. So I don't believe in Jehovah ... but if he existed, I would openly defy him for being such a jerk.

When we look at G-d through a human lens, we can't help but hate Him a little. G-d is good, so why does he let so many bad things happen? It's frustrating, and it makes us angry at Him for not stepping in and fixing all the tragedies we see all around us.
If we step back from our perspective and try to look at the big picture though we can be comforted. All things serve the Lord. Even Evil. With out Evil, Good means little. Without suffering and fear, we couldn't understand joy and faith.
He is what He is.

I know that there is at least one deity out there. It manifested itself in my life in such a way that I found undeniable.
It was not the god of Abraham.
Their god might exist; I do not know for sure.
PS: Yes, he/it is a jerk. Why do so many neo-Christians try and rationalize the idea that their god was ever fair is beyond me.
