i do have a pretty nice digital camera , but i dont have it with me everywhere i go like i do my cell phone... i mean up close the pic's are great with my 3.2mp , but its the zoom and distance that gets crappy.... just thought i would add that

Sure.. but the cost of putting that lens in would exceed the value of a new phone with a better lens.
Also.. the nature of cell phones is that they get scratched and dirty. Just a tiny bit of dust or scratch will negate the extra value of that better lens.
so.....
If you want a REALLY good picture.. use a camera not a camera phone

camera phones? give me a break...the camera phones are just a gimmic...they only go upto 2 maybe 3mp the most and the resolution are a joke...invest in a real digital camera that has at least 5mp and has a good lens system. also the camera phones might come with a 1/2" sensor if that...it is a disgrace even to call them cameras.

i agree with Michael, camera phones are a total joke, want to take pictures, get a real camera instead of the wimpish piece of garbage
