I used to spend hrs.getting ready just to go out the door before i had my daughter. Now I spend:
Shower-15-20 mins. Hair: 5-10 mins. usually up in a bun.
Make up- 10 mins. total about 20 mins. This is on week days when i go to work. Usually on weekends i dont even do my make up. I'm only 23. I feel like an old lady, because i don't do my hair nice anymore or wear stylish clothes. Just whatever i can find, fit. (I gained 35lbs. after my baby). So I feel pretty ugly. I just started dieting. I want to look pretty again, but I don't really have the time, and i feel like even if i do fix my hair and make up i will still look bad because I gained weight. Any suggestions? Thnx.

Technically, I'm not a mom yet, as my baby is due next month. However, I never really got into that stuff. I shower only when necessary (two or three times a week) and the only makeup I have is a foundation compact I got at Walgreens when they offered it free after rebate. I use the mirror more than the makeup. My clothes aren't trendy, but they're nice and put together, at least. (Blouses, dressy-casual Ts, khaki pants khaki shorts, jeans, I often wear loafers, etc.) I do make sure my hair is brushed and my face washed, even if I'm just going to the grocery store.

I'm fine with the way I look. I like who I am, I like my body (I was happy with it before but to see and feel what it can do while creating this new life is amazing and purely miraculous) I have decent clothing, and my husband thinks I'm sexy.

I'm not worried about weight gain, as I've only gained 23 pounds and it's all for the baby.

However, this is just me. I'm just a low key person.

I hope that your diet works for ya. Good luck on that.

I always tried to look my best, if you think you look great your mood will reflect that too.

I suggest that you get a cute hair style that is really easy to take care of and takes little time to style.

See if you can make the time to put on make up every day, even on the weekends and go out and buy a few new stylish summery outfits on sale now that the fall line is coming up.

Find someone to look after your daughter and just go out and shop, just you and have a fun day doing it. Treat yourself to some great new things to wear.
