What is this religious tugging that keeps you coming back to basically hear the same thing day after day. The message is the same. Faith, Love, and peace.

Hebrews 11:3
'Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear".

Colossians 1:16
"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him".

1 Timothy 6:12
"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life..."

John 3:16

Romans 10:9

Source: King James Version(Holy Bible)

Have faith dear friends in God.

Why do you keep coming back to read more? Why not Politics, Sports, Marriage or even "SCIENCE". Why" RELIGION"?

It's something to do I'm not married, I can't talk about politics without getting pissed off, Sports don't interest me and I'm not big into science once in awhile I'll venture into family and relationships but once in awhile I find a good question in here. Besides I like to learn things about religion I didn't know some things said on here make me go and read farther into them. Just because I don't believe in "god" doesn't mean that I can't learn and try to understand more about religions I don't know much about. Christianity not being one of those but the other ones. Actually I find it sad that there isn't more questions about the other religions the majority on here are Christianity, Muslims, and us Atheists. Once in a blue moon there are acutally intellegent questions in here.

Can i ask you the same question ? why don't you like to hang in politics or sports or even marriage ? And don't get me started on science because the word science might even make Christians brake out into some sort of holy hives and want to destroy the word or even scientific beliefs !!! the only reason i hang out hear is the same reason you do . all people like to discuss there beliefs !!!

I'm not drawn to religion or god... I've studied these and I believe they are not good for mankind or do not exist, respectively.

I keep coming back to this forum specifically and fighting against religion IRL because the beliefs of believers are making a negative impact in my life. My BIG issue is the religious folk who pass laws based on their beliefs (stem cell research, gay marriage, and abortion).

Besides.... two words: PUBLIC FORUM

I cannot believe that as a Christian you are even posing this question! You are making the assumption that ALL atheists think ALL Christians are bible-banging automatons and that NONE OF THEM have anything of value to say.

I speak of faith, love and peace, but I do it in an ecumenical, nonthreatening way. I do it in a way that speaks a secular truth rather than just a sacred truth. You, who are supposed to be spreading the Word of God and bringing nonbelievers into His fold, should be more accepting of those who do not believe. When you present your views in a secular fashion, you are saying to nonbelievers: I AM THE SAME AS YOU. Just because I believe in God does not make me ANY DIFFERENT.

And it does NOT. YOUR belief in the God you call Jesus is so different than MY belief -- and I call Him the SAME NAME. I think atheists have a LOT to teach me about temperance and understanding and unity without forcing belief upon another.

PAY ATTENTION. And instead of goading these people, why don't you try learning from them. Instead of being so shortsighted and limited by your biblical quotations, own your truth and express it freely, rather than by rote -- no one will truly hear you until you do.

They come because you call. Why not welcome them instead of being so faithless?

The reasons I personally come around here is to learn how to understand other religions, such as yours. As I begin to understand, I learn to accept, and when I accept, I become open-minded. The more open-minded I become, the more tolerant.

It continues on, but I don't want to bore you.
I will now re-interpret each of your quotes to suit me, and would like to know if you agree.

Through faith we become understanding, yet through blind faith we become ignorant.

(I will leave Collossians 1:16, it is solely a Christian belief, and I refuse to be offensive to you)

Do not fight, for your enemy needs your help. Forgiveness prevents vengeance.

You see, my re-interpretations are of clarity and peace.
I do not believe that any fight is a good fight.

I do not believe that belief itself will bring clarity of mind.

Only to truly open your mind, can you understand your adversary, and find that peace is easy to accomplish.

May peace and love go with you throughout your life.

Because religion keeps on trying to mess with my life, and the lives of those around me.

Just stop the interference in laws, politics, medicine, science, reproduction, education, sexuality and war, and I'll say no more about it.

Because you Christians keep posting questions to us atheists. Obviously you have the problem with our ability to not believe. I've checked, and no other category posts questions to atheists.
