I keep talking to this guy online that was in my psych class even though I know he has a gf but I like him and I like talking to him

This is a watered down version of dating a married man. You may be setting yourself up for disappointment here. Maybe even worse dissappointment than if you just went for someone who was totally single. In this case you can't be mad when you get slammed and you can't show dissappointment because you "should have known" or "you knew the situation before going into it". This knowledge doesn't lessen the pain of liking someone and knowing they're giving most of their attention and love to someone else. And you don't go through it just once. You go through it over and over because you never validate it.
If you think this guys on the verge of breaking up or is not really serious with his girlfriend then this can be successful. But just be careful. You may be setting yourself up for a lot of pain.

Yea I think so I been in a few talking friendships like that and all they ever do is act like your the one and even go as far as talking about his girlfriend but in the long run he still goes back to her and your left in the dust. Then your heart is going to be broken so only keep it up if your not afraid to get hurt

You are not wasting your time. Consider it an investment for the future, when he might become yours.
Boyfriends and girlfriends come and go. The girl he has today may become yesterday. And then you have your chance.

If he is already taken romantically by someone you shouldn't try to interfere with that. If you enjoy talking to him stay friends. Sometimes romantic relationships form from a friendship.

Don't mess with someone that is already involved. It's just bad karma. Even if he is telling you he doesn't like her anymore or whatever, don't do it!! Seriously, what goes around, comes around.

Yes. He's taken. It's bad karma to mess with others' relationships. If they're not meant to be, they'll break up and then you can see him if you wish.

be paitent, if they break up be there for him, be careful not to become that rebound girl, but after a bit, see if somthing sparks, don't ruin his relationship now, or he will be mad at u.
