If the only reason that they are is because Christians are then why don't they take Ghandi's advice and be the change that they want to see instead of making the problem worse?

VeggieTart- No, I assure you, I'm not trolling. The majority (though not necessarily all) of the atheists that I have seen on this site are rude and think that they're doing people a favor by spreading their misconception that God isn't real and insisting that they know as an irrefutible fact that they're right.

Those atheists that posts hostile comments don't come here because they want to promote the free exchange of ideas, those atheists come here because they are hateful people.

In the past, people like that have abused blacks, jews, irish, mexicans, chinese.

They oppress the free exchange of ideas in the name of enlightenment, but they are no more than hate-mongers. They are prejudiced. And, prejudice has always been an ugly thing.

Fortunately, most atheists are not like that. You might want to edit your post to reflect that fact. Don't use divisive language. Prejudice is something everyone should unite against.

There are jerks on all sides of the "arguments," unfortunately. However, it just seems that the atheists are louder than the others, and nastier when they insult you for your faith. Yeah, go ahead, give me a THUMBS DOWN for that one, but I just don't see Christians posting as many rude comments aimed towards atheists than the other way around. Too bad, too... because it gives all the atheists a bad reputation.... JUST as the "preachy" Christians give us a bad rep... okay?

As for Ghandi, frankly, I take any of his "advice" with a grain of salt... afterall, he drank a glass of his own urine very day of his life, feeling it had "healthful" benefits for him! BLECH! :P~~~

I'm starting to become a bit "steeled" to the rudeness shown on Y-Answers. I'm sure it disappoints Y-Answers tremedously when they see all that going on... and attempt their best to monitor it. Kinda reminds me of God and humans.... Here God has made for Mankind a paradise (Eden) and what does he do with it but screw it up... and we've been at each other's throats... literally as well as figuratively... for THOUSANDS of years! Sometimes I pity God the disappointment He must feel!

Have a great day!

Because atheists are described as arrogant and blind in the Bible, because they will never see beyond their selfish wishes: if there is no God to watch over them, they can do what they want.

Such a world view leaves one devoid of humility, lacking in hope and optimism, blind to the truth, and truly spiritually sick. Their way will be life chaff before the wind, as their souls will not understand the truth of the universe or God. They will go through life thinking hedonism/sexual gratification/simple pursuits and desires are all they are. God doesn't accept people like this, as they deny the true nature of their souls.

I should know, I used to be one. Thank God I'm over it.

It still fascinates me that there are so many atheists in Religion and Spirituality. Sometimes I think they envy our faith or they just cant stand someone else feeling love and peace. I say a prayer for them. They cant be very happy people.

I think they should keep it up, it's such great anti-advertisement for their cause! Who wants to join a group that thinks they're so superior, saying things like "helping you come to your senses", as if religious people were idiots.

Mortals! They're everywhere!

Many Blessings,

Trying to wind us up, are ya? But if Christians were a little nicer, we might not lash out like a beaten dog. Maybe Christians should be more like Christ.

Or are you just trolling?

so you expect the athiests here to just ignore you christians and your constant harping, degradation, and prostylization of Anything different from them, so you can go ahead disregarding Your lord's commandment not to judge others.

i would think that a christian should be more concerned about what thier lord told them to do, than an athiest about ghandi's sayings.

I myself am a pagan and have never had a problem with an athiest, sure a few have said something along the lines that ALL religion is stupid on a question or two of mine. but other than that, no nastiness.

maybe its cause i dont constantly tell them they are going to hell, and that I will be the one laughing when they are burning in hell and im in heaven.

course people say that to me too since I'm pagan. but I'm pretty even tempered.
