I do a lot of hobby reading on subjects that I enjoy - but I do wish that I could retain more of it! Is there any way for remembering hobby information well? I am very interested in it, it just frustrates me when I cannot remember a really interesting fact... =(

1] read with a notebook or at least a piece of paper.
2] When you come to a really interesting fact or word, write it down, with the explanation or definition.
3] make a diagram or outline if necessary
If you READ and WRITE , you retain more because you used two different learning styles.
I did this all through school, and was an honor student.

I myself cant remember phone numbers or address. I use images of buildings or other things to remember directions to place i dint visit much.

I remember phone numbers by not just saving them to my cell phone, but i remember patterns of the number created while I dial it, or create an entire riddle to remember a phone number.

Take notes!! That's the best piece of advice I can give you. Have a special binder for notes about books you read. Then you can refer to them anytime. Don't forget to note the name of the book in case you ever want to reread it.
