I'm rather skeptical, though I try to keep an open mind about paranormal matters. There is a $1 million reward for anyone who can prove that he/she has psychic ability. Sylvia Browne and John Edward have refused to take this challenge, so I was wondering if there was anyone who was brave enough to do so.

Most psychics can't just do it out of the clear blu sky. My own abilities come best when it's with people I feel really close to. I have been able to either warn them or be around to keep them from making a mistake that could be harmful. A lot of my abilities (but nowhere close to all) come in the form of dreams. I can concentrate & will sometimes get impressions that way. I also am able to pick up a lot of impressions by touching/holding something personal of the person concerned. I also read Taro & am very accurate. Some psychics specialize & some don't. When impressions come as varied as mine, there is no reason to test because we are not infallable & have never claimed to be. There are very good reasons why we don't try to pick up on lottery numbers. It just doesn't work when you try to use it for personal gain, Of any kind. People like Randi are just trying to make a name for themselves. It really doesn't matter whether you believe or not, what is.....IS. By the way, I have never charged fo readings of any kind. It is not the devil's work either. GOD made me & gave me the talents I have & this is one of them.

Randi will never pay out... because psychics are all frauds!

Really, the sheer amount of ridiculousness that goes into the notion that a brain can rearrange itself to see things that have not yet happened (say, a few photons that have not yet been released) when there exists no mechanisms for transmitting this signal is, well, enormous. Psychics need to demonstrate that their claims are at least plausible before it will even be worth testing their alleged abilities. As things stand, a psychic actually being right about something merely implies getting lucky, since anyone making guesses, educated or wild, will get lucky now and then.

Psychic phenomena are at best a fairy tale and at worst a con game.

That reward is illogical. A true psychic would be able to predict lottery numbers, so a mere $1,000,000 would hold no interest. The inescapable publicity would make it a very poor proposition. Also, if money could be obtained by a psychic at any time through prediction, then money ceases to have any real meaning any more.

I am not saying I believe in psychics - just that this $1M thing is ridiculous.

I know a few who have been brave enough to do so ... only to be ignored by Randi
I also know a few who would not want to do so because Randi uses any means to discredit people
sometimes our reputation is worth more than the chance of millions

A true psychic can be unnervingly accurate about what has happened to you in the past [as long as there were no witnesses and you never told anyone]. This is usually by the use of demonic power. They cannot tell the future but can make a pretty good guess.

LOL...Randi will disprove anything just to save face, that's why others will not take his challenge. I'm not saying the 2 you mention are frauds, but I do think Randi is the fraud he claims others to be because he'll never pay out no matter what.

Real psychics don't care about proof or your approval. Only those money-grubbing teevee pretenders do.

if they refused to take the challenge its because they have nothing to prove, it has nothing to do with being brave.
are you brave enough to enter their world ?
this question was asked by you to see if you could be told something for yourself ? selfish
