I am not a Christian, but can explain the perspective. First of all, if you read Genesis chapter 3, you will find the phrase "....the serpent was more subtle than all the beasts of the field that the L-rd G-d had made"........ The serpent was created by G-d and so were all the trees in the garden, including the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Yet, G-d commanded not to eat from it because it brought death. There was another tree in the garden which was the tree of life. G-d gave the man and woman the ability to choose life or choose death. Society may seem much more complicated today than in the Creation account, but the same patern is still abounding. You can choose life or you can choose death. The interesting thing about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is just that....it contained elements that were good, not just evil. It was a mixture or a yin yang philosophy. The woman saw that it was GOOD for food and PLEASING to the eyes and DESIRING to make one wise. There are good things about homosexuality such as people caring about each other, but there are bad things as well that don't bring about life and can't reproduce naturally into future generations. In other words, G-d created good and evil, but has commanded people to choose the good and that which brings life. A homosexual relationship is a tree of the knowledge of good and evil and something that is the opposite of life, because all life is able to reproduce itself by definition and consequently a homosexual union is unable to do and dependant upon heterosexual unions even for their own existance, let alone future generations. In addition to the above argument, there are specific commandments that G-d Himself spoke to Moses, such as "It is an abomination for a man to lie with a man as a he lies with a woman" Lev. 18 is filled with sexual no-no's, like not sleeping with your mother, father, sister, donkey and also with other men. If you believe the bible was ordained by G-d, then you believe these commandments are from G-d. If you don't, then you don't.......but why say the Bible is true if you don't believe that all the bible is true?

The Bible states it pretty well when a person sins and does not repent of those sins eventually the Father will give that person over to their sins and they will exchange the natural (man and Woman) relationship for the unnatural relationship. As a christian you can not be in fellowship with God and living in un repent sin. For we all sin but we try to do better and turn away from our sin. This being said if you are a christian and living in sin God will put the pressure on you to change you ways. This is why it is not likely that those living in unrepentant sin and having no problems are Christians.

can't you people think for yourselves? Do you always have to spout off the bible? I mean, this is just like listening to my parents tell me no and when i ask why, they say 'cause i said so.'
Just because some ancient fictional book says it is bad does not mean it is. Hell, look back in history. until christianity, there were many groups that engaged in homosexual acts. every civilization had it and most overlooked it. Julius Caesar was said to be a husband to every wife and a wife to every man.
when you an learn to think for yourselves, then you can judge other people. and don't say anything about Caesar being murdered. that was because of him becoming a dictator.
There is nothing wrong with being gay. I think they should be able to get married just like everyone else. they pay taxes and and defend our freedom and lives. They deserve every right that straight people have. May the god anubis bless you.

I think....and mind you...this is just MY opinion......I don't think it is our job as Christians to judge other people...God's job....he probably wouldn't like some of the people passing judgement to be stepping on his toes either....anyway. It is up to each person to live the best life that they can, and to live it the most loving way that they can. I think that what I have gotten from the teachings of the church (in my case I am Catholic...a new one....so no I do not have ALL the Catholic doctrine down pat)...well, what I get is that marriage is a sacrement of the church, two people who love God and love each other, and want to celebrate that and expand on that love by having a family together (the biggest way of expressing their love).....well, before science all got involved it took strictly one man and one woman to create said children......anything else went against the belief.
Do I think God hates gays? well, he has this unconditional love for his children (which would be ALL of us)....he does not like when we sin, but Jesus died on a cross because we are ALL sinful by nature...What I would tell your mother??? Guess what? you're a sinner too, and I bet your "evil" thoughts on the "poor gays" make God cry too. Don't worry though, I'll pray for you. See what she says to that.......
Good luck to you.

I will begin saying that I do not know whether it was a choice to be gay or not. But, I will give reference from the bible why gay/lesbian is a sin. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Romans 1: 25: 27

God loves everyone but he isnt happy with people being gay. it says so in the bible. God gives us a choice to do things the right way or the wrong way, but if we choose to do something the wrong way the God will punish us. and whoever said that God was gay needs to think about that. where in the WORLD did you get that?

God doesn't hate gay people...Jesus still died for them so they could have eternal life. And Satan did not create gay people (but this is a very good question)
When God created humans, as you know, He created Adams and Eve. They were meant for one another; God put them together, right? So God's intend was for women to be married to men. Not women with women or the opposite. And some people are born wanting to be gay...that is a temptation that could be overcomed. They still have a choice to be homo or not.

Engaging in homosexual behavior is unnatural and sinful. It says so in the bible. No where in the bible did Jesus ever say that god created man to be with man. He created man to be with woman so they could love eachother and have children together. God does not hate anyone, but he will judge you when you die. Gay people will never be happy because they deny God and his teachings with their sinful choices. I can't say whether they will go to hell or not because that is up to God, but they certainly are not going straight to heaven.

This is rather stating the obvious, but in human nature there is a tendency to be sexually attracted to the opposite sex and repelled (in a sexual context) by your own sex. This makes sense in evolutionary terms - It is behaviour which encourages sexual reproduction and thereby the propogation of the genes which make us feel this way.
Religions, not surprisingly, often have scripture which reflects this innate distaste or discomfort which humans commonly feel regarding homosexual sex, and their followers think that admonitions against homosexual sex come from their deity, whereas in fact of course they come from the humans who write them. Nevertheless, the idea that homosexuality is condemned by their god is a potent one, and I suspect that most of the answers you get from theists will effectively just say "It's wrong because God says so".
Nowadays, moral progress is such that more and more people are regarding homosexuality as morally neutral - i.e. neither good nor bad, but merely different, and this (in my opinion) is a good thing.

Theres evidence to show that being gay is partially genetic. But i no of twins of which only one is gay.
Therefore
1: It is either the parents (that 'god' created) that make the child gay
2: The environment that the child grows up in (which 'god' had a large part to play) makes them gay
Thus: 'god' makes people gay.
