Mushy peas are not "Yuk - disgusting!"
They are absolutely brilliant with fish and chips, or with pie, chips and gravy.
Please note that English Chip-shop chips are golden, with a very soft interior, and shouldn't be confused with crisps, which is the stuff Americans call "Chips".
If the rest of the world doesn't have mushy peas, they damn well should. They are the dogs whatsits!

No, I don't think the rest of the world has them, except where expatriates have them imported.
Every country has its quirky foods which are indigenous. It's simply a matter of what you are brought up to eat. For example in America, you might think the breakfast 'grits' are the best thing since slice bread but to many Brits their not so nice. Similarly, many Americans fail to see our love of Branston Pickle.
So mushy peas is just another one of those foods.

I agree that keeping factors of an paintings secret to all your scholars is counter effective. i think of the unique thought grew to become into no longer approximately secrecy, yet approximately being selective. various the classic arts have been basically latest specifically factors and in those section's each village could have stepped forward their own substyle. The educating of strangers could be very uncommon because of the fact the practitioners wished to maintain their paintings "organic" and probably to maintain a number of their suggestions and practise secrets and techniques a secret from others. in the 20 th century the international has without delay exchange right into a lots smaller place and martial arts have without delay unfold all around the globe, probable scaring the countless classic masters. My wager is that the selective nature of coaching grew to become into pushed even added via them as quickly as others began coaching their kinds international. that's a controversy of fearing the unknown, the techniques they saved deepest for see you later have been uncovered to tens of millions of others in a count number of years. in the final 60 years various martial arts grew to alter into obtainable for everybody, yet on the comparable time various those arts grew to become into lost. The masters have been in simple terms afraid that even their maximum eminent scholars could ruin the centuries outdated traditions and teach to total strangers. So particular, in the well-known international keeping secrets and techniques is counter effective, yet being selective is probably a reliable high quality for motives the countless previous posters have already mentioned. Your maximum committed and disciplined scholars could be thaught those suggestions as a latest and to bypass on the paintings in it is entirety. they may be the only ones who will truthfully earnings from being thaught those suggestions.
