Expensive or not, she needs to be seen by a vet. The chunk of pad could fall off, but then, bear in mind that dogs have some major veins in their feet. There could be lots of blood. OR it could stay attached and fester. She needs professional help. Probably stitches and antibiotics.

Trying your best would be to go to the vet. I'm afraid it's just kinda tough that it's expensive - that's why they do pet insurance.

Cuts on paws usually become infected without treatment. By wrapping it you could very well have trapped some bacteria in there. DON'T cut the big chunk off - OUCH! It probably will fall off in time - once the skin has died off anyway!

Don't do it yourself. Get it done properly. Your poor dog.The longer you wait, the more expensive it's going to be.

Call the vet immediately.......You need to be careful it doesn't get infected. I heard a horrible story recently about an animal owner whose pet had a cut on his paw, flies got into the wound layed their eggs and the cat was infested with maggots internally, the cat died.

Sorry to scare you... But please Call The Vet ASAP. Find the money somewhere to take care of your dog. She will more then likely need an antibiotic.

Call the vet for help and sometimes they will let you pay on a payment plan- keep the foot wrapped and clean it with peroxide before wrapping and get him to the doc fast- ASACP if in your area may help you to find a giving vet office that has reduced rates for care if not able to pay a full fee!
