That is, what is the difference between "confident" and "arrogant/cocky" (although some women do like a guy who is "arrogant"/"cocky")...If you could provide examples of each in terms of how a guy might act each out, that would be great...

Confident men do not brag, they just carry themselves well, are well spoken, aren't awkward in social settings.
Cocky men brag all the time, feel a need to show off how "great" they are.
I prefer a confident man. Cocky men are pathetic.

There could be a guy that is confident...example would be smart, good at his job, life focused, doesn't get into drama. However, there is the cocky guy...example would be lots of girls calling, constantly smiling and making jokes to get people to laugh, constantly checking himself out and wearing the best of the best clothes, not returning phone calls because they have better stuff to do...like highlight their hair...cocky guys are the same as mean girls just a different gender. I prefer confident men but always seem to fall for the cocky ones...

Some women enjoy men who act challenging and a little shrewd. This can also be defined as *********. Some women seem to enjoy this initially, but grow tired of it when there is no depth to his personality beyond his *********. If he turns out to be a nice or sincere guy, her attraction may grow. If your ********* branches off from your confidence and intelligence, then you’re probably ok. If your ********* branches off of your big head or centers around proving your superiority, then you’re probably coming across in an unattractive way towards women.

Confident is when a guy is so cool it radiates out of him with out being told to look for it. Cocky is when you really aren't confident but you want to appear to be, so you always draw attention to yourself and brag so people will notice you, and hopefully think you are cool. 1 is natural, the other is a big put on.

i would say a confident guy would be outspoken, given eye to eye contact. a cocky guy would be looking around to see who is looking at him. a confident guy would walk into a pub head held high "not" looking at the floor with his eyes up. a cocky guy would swagger along into the pub- like come and get me girls...sitting in a chair confident men dont cross their arms, thats a sign of insecurity. cocky men sit with thier legs apart.

Confident. Cocky is when you think/and/or know you are better then other people. Bragging is another sign of *********.

I like a guy who is confident, not cocky.
A guy who has confidence is comfortable with himself. He has respect for himself and treats others with respect. He is bold and assertive.
A guy who is arrogant/cocky is someone who views himself as superior to others. He usually doesn't treat others with respect. He is usually loud and obnoxious.
