My best advice to you is to run from you Katholik church and find you a church that Believes the Bible alone is the word of God.

How do you get back to the Church?

Show up on Sunday!

Really- walking through the Church door the first time is the hardest part.

Being divorced is NOT a sin! You will need to consider any of your actions that may have led to the divorce.

You will need to go to Confession before you can receive Communion, since you have been away for so long ( i.e. not going to Mass)

If you have not remarried, all you need to do is go to Confession. Since you have been away a while, make an appointment with a priest, tell him you need to make a General Confession and you will need guidance.

If you have remarried, it is more complicated- but atillmake the appointment with the priest. You will need to straighten out your marriage beofre you can receiv the Sacraments.

Why would you want to go back and attend a church that judged you so harshly? You don't need religion........you need Jesus Christ and that is all. A non denominational, christian, new testament church would accept you just the way you are - flaws and all. You said it straight in your question "laws". Laws in the church are just man made rules and regulations. If you ask Jesus for forgivness for the divorce and really mean it he will forgive you and let you get on with your life. If you go by the laws of man you will just be disappointed again. You don't need religion - just a relationship with Christ.

Yes, the laws have changed. It takes little to keep in good standing with the church. It really depends upon the "why" of the divorcement.

You need to make an appointment with a priest near you. If you were near me, I would recommend two. He will instruct you and guide you through. This will mean going to confession too.

Best of luck to you and go for it! After all, it is GOD to whom you must look for forgiveness from...not so much the man behind the screen!

Just come back to Church.

You probably should receive the sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) before you receive the Eucharist.

Being a celibate divorced Catholic is not really sinful. Remarriage without a declaration of nullity (an annulment) would be.

Welcome back.

With love in Christ.

Dear, find a bible teaching church. You don't have to do anything to "get back in". What you do is walk in and sit down. You'll have the company of hundreds of other people who have sinned, and been forgiven, all around you.

If I may ask, why would you want to become a

ROMAN

Catholic again? Would you not want to get saved and become a member of the church that Jesus built instead of being part of Babylon?

I would call a priest instead of asking a bunch of idiots on the Internet. No offense to the idiots on here, I'm here too! You won't get a reliable answer from here.
