my mother constantly strikes me and my sister with metal coat hangers whenever she gets angry. she also strikes us with fists and often belittles us. she says that we will fail in life and that we are worthless. she also often tells me to just go dies right now and tells me to go live on the street. she says not to eve bother coming back and asking for tuiton money for college. my sister is almost 9 years old and i turn 15 in three months. can i report her for child abuse even though there are no visible strike marks or bruises? please help. this has been going on for way too long. my father also sometimes is struck by her, whether by her fists or an object she throws.

report it to the police..you and your sisters word that she is abusing you will be enough to get action taken..there is help for your mother out there..call now.

I have been in a very similar situation. I have actually called Child Services on my mother. First what you need to do is tell another adult, someone whom you trust, a friends parent, teacher, relative. You have to sit down with your father and ask him why he is taking this abuse, no one deserves to be treated that way or talked to that way. You need to do what's best for you and your sister. I would talk to an adult and tell them what you are planning to do and make sure u have someone to stick by you and then call child services. I'm sure there is going to be a hell of a reprocussion once you do but it's for the best. Maybe it'll wake ur mother up and let her get some help.

I know this is sad to say but if there isn't evidence, then nothing might not happen if you tell anyone. This is even worse to say but I would wait till it happens again when a bruise is its most noticeable. You need to make sure to tell someone though. Talk to your sister and make sure she is able to tell her side of the story before you parents can influence her. They will at all cost try and make her lie.

if you report her there will be an investigation. if theres some way to prove she does these things she will get her parental privelages taken away and will probably serve some time. set up a hidden camera, maybe? thats about as much proof as anyone would need.

and whats up with your dad in this situation? doesnt he get fed up with her?

Of course this is child abuse and of course you should report it. Start by talking to a teacher at your school that you trust.

i think you should speak to someone about it as soon as possible before it gets alot worst, does she have a cause for hitting you and your sister...it seems as if your mom is abusive....please tell someone...if you need more advice u can always email me....good luck
