Received email from UK National Promo telling me I won 2nd place worth 600,000 in Poundsfrom their drawing Aug,4th. What kind of scam is this;they want my name,address,occupation and Phone#

You answered your own question, it's a scam alright, and the scammers are hoping that people are greedy and stupid that the $$$ signs in front of their eyes overwhelms their common sense.

Yes, people post about it usually a time or two a day on this board, and pretty much everyone here has gotten many emails saying that they've won.
If you respond, then they'll tell you they need a courier fee or delivery fee to deliver your prize. People have reported on this board that they've sent several hundred US dollars for this fee, then didn't get their prize. Surprise surprise.
Anyway, just delete the email - it's a scam, and you didn't win anything.

i'm getting those stupid scam e-mails a minimum of 12 circumstances a week. lots of them originate in Africa and Asia and don't have something to do with the Netherlands, the ecu, writer's Clearing domicile, Robert Muller, invoice Gates, Microsoft, or any of the different meant organizers of such "lotteries." you have not gained something, there's no diplomat waiting on the airport with your "fund," you at the instant are not getting an "ATM card fee," or the rest they make it easier to comprehend. do in no way fall for it, and easily do not open any attachments that could comprise it. Hit the nuke button and experience sorry for the detrimental idiots who get victimized.

IT IS A SCAM!!! I received many of those. Report it as spam or take to your local post office.
