What did the doctor say about you not being able to gain weight? Are you getting tested for a reason, or were you just blown off?

Yes, you CAN 'gain weight' but you must be very 'proactive' and also try to 'turn your metabolism around' ... first, eat at least six 'slightly smaller' meals a day, not three. Eat two 'bites of dark chocolate' halfway between each of those six meals (a 'bite' = one Hershey's Kiss).
Learn to do a 'yoga meditation' ... sit cross-legged or with both feet 'together' on the floor in a 'comfortable straight chair' with your hands 'palms up' on your knees, and try to 'empty your mind' and 'slow your body down' ... try to 'not think' for at least five minutes, and take it up by five minutes every week until you can hold this 'meditation' for half an hour. I will take some 'time and effort' but if your Doctor says you are 'too thin' there is a REAL PHYSICAL PROBLEM and you'll need to 'change the way you eat and what you eat' to get 'fatter' and better. For you, try eating the 'heavier, fattier foods' first, then 'treat yourself' with lots of 'fresh fruit' and a few 'fresh vegies' AFTER you eat your 'meat and starch' ... and use things like REAL BUTTER and jams with sugar in them ... you'll 'appreciate the flavor' and you'll still have 'lots of energy' but will 'feel fuller' and may not 'what to exercise' as much. If you are 'athletic' and you LOVE IT, then you'll have to 'scale back' on the things you do ... run only one mile, not five every day, play only 9 holes of golf, not 18, etc.

If your doctor says nothing else is wrong, there are medications you can take that help you gain weight. My sister couldn't gain any weight, either. Her doctor finally put her on Remeron (an anti-depressant). Now she looks great. She actually has feminine curves now!
Another thing that might help would be to eat food that's bad for you. I wouldn't recommend that -- it's too easy to go in the other direction and be gaining too much weight. After I had mono, my doctor told me to drink chocolate milk shakes. Mom bought me a gallon of dark fudge ice cream, and I chowed down. The weight came back and I cut out the ice cream, sadly. But it did work.

Here are some good ideas:
1. Do something that gets your heart rate up a bit like, walking, running, biking, and swimming.
2. Eat Whole, Organic foods like: Broccoli, Cabbage, Organic Brown Rice, Spinach, Sweet Potato, Apples, and other fruits and vegetables in their Natural State.
3. Avoid eating corn, white bread, white rice, candy, sodas, chips, and anything else that you already know you shouldn’t be eating.
4. Drink clean water as your beverage of choice. Avoid Fruit drinks and fruit juices (unless YOU juice them yourself)
5. Stop smoking, drinking beer & wine, and drinking coffee.
6. Get 8 hours of sleep each night.
7. Hang out with people who want to be healthy.
Tone up the muscles:
1. Join a gym and get a trainer.
2. If you’re short on cash, start a light stretching & yoga regimen.
3. Do push-ups, and light dumbbell curls for the upper body.
4. As I said above, walk, run, swim, and or bike.
5. Take an aerobics class, a yoga class, or some other fitness class.
6. Join the local YMCA..
Mental Health:
1. Get a friend to talk to each day about your feelings.
2. If you have some money or insurance, get a counselor to talk to.
3. Learn how to meditate.
4. Join a support group for the issue you’re dealing with.
5. Ask your Higher Self (or God) for guidance.
6. Start keeping a diary or journal about your feelings & thoughts.
7. Write a ‘gratitude’ list every night.

Join the Gym and do a lot of weight training. Muscles weigh More than fat so once you build up muscles then you'll weigh more.
I have the same problem and ever since i started working out, i eat about 2 more meals a day and have gained appr 7 lbs. I walk/run for about 10-12 minutes just to get my body warmed up and then i'll lift weights for about 30-45 minutes.
working out isn't just for losing weight, its for being fit and healthy and you can gain weight.
Good Luck

Consider going with some weight gain/bulk building products from health or excercise product stores. Speak to a nutritionist about what would help you gain weight. You might be able to build up muscle too if you start to work out, if you don't already. Avoid trying to gain weight by eating garbage foods. That may help you pack on pounds but it won't be healthy weight.

properly they are saying you're able to lose 2-3 pounds a week on a sensible eating ordinary and you have decrease than 5 weeks even though it could be do-in a position and dont enable not achieving you're purpose disillusioned you if it doesnt happen. dropping 10 pounds will make you seem wonderful besides. i think of you're able to attempt and up the excersize nevertheless, that's going to truly help tone you up, boost your metabolism and make you experience happier plus half-hour, 5 circumstances a week is genuinely the minimum reported so doing it on a daily basis won't be sufficient to make a great distinction. thankfully dancing, working, strolling all of it helps! sturdy success!

You could try some muscle builders protein drinks. Mix in whole milk. If you think they don't taste to good you can flavor them with lots of stuff including flavoring like vanilla etc....
Add cretin to you diet as it will help build muscle.
