Usually you run into 2 types of guys, the ones that are there to entice you into dating them by 'game playing' and then are complete assholes after that, and then there are the ones that are too nice and turn into friends and nothing more almost immediately. It seems like what you are looking for is a guy that will play some games but at the same time can be very sweet as well when the time calls. The problem is that the game playing sweet guy and the game playing dick appear to be the same until the time comes for a guy to be sweet. I would think the only way to spot the difference would be to date the guy you are initially attracted to (game players) and then see if he turns sweet at the right times for you and at the same time is a little bit of a game player which will keep you interested.

Not exactly sure where to look...I met my husband at work. You might want to think about what kind of guy you are attracted to. Maybe you initially like the "playa's", and are not attracted to the nice guys. I am lucky, I've always been attracted to nice guys...my sister on the other hand was always attracted to the jerks. You might have to date someone that you don't initially think is "really hot". A great personality can make an average man extremely attractive once you get to know him better.

Just stop looking for now. I mean just do the things you like to do and you will find a guy there doing the same thing. If you like tennis or sports then enroll in a city league on a co-ed team so there will be guys there and you can make guy friends and of course guys have guy friends so you hang out with some guys and make guy friends then you will have more opportunity to meet more guys and make a better decision on what type you want to date.

You can't go out looking for one. They pop up unexpected. Stop trying so hard to find a boyfriend. When the time is right you will find the one. Have you ever heard the saying "You gotta kiss a lot of toads before finding a prince"?

Look for the average guy in the group and dare to go out with someone who doesn't attract you initially but seems a nice enough guy. You might be surprised.

the very and the only place to look for that boyfriend you are looking for is within yourself, you have such a standard that no man can afford to have, (be it a low or high standard) reading your questions makes me think, who is she? do not get me wrong, but i think you've been meeting or encountering people around you and feeling that too. but too smart to notice it or simply ignoring it?

There is really not any particular place to look. Where ever you are just keep you eyes open and if you see someone that you find attractive or interesting then go for it.
