They are ready to get pregnant again almost as soon as they have given birth.
Cat's reproductive cycles are very different to dog's. They are induced ovulators - the act of mating causes the egg to be released so no, they don't have to be noticeably in heat to get pregnant.
Cats that have just had kittens need to be kept inside and safe from intact toms until the kittens are weaned, and then spayed. They can be spayed when pregnant, for about the first three weeks of pregnancy - get her to a vet to see if she's not too far gone to be spayed. Better this than bring MORE kittens in to the world to take up homes!!

she can be prego just FOUR weeks after having alitter. you might not of even knew she was in heat. You can still get her fixed! and you should before she gets bigger.
Last year I had a wild outside cat. She had gotten prego back to back twice. We couldn't catch her, but like clock work--four weeks after birth she was at it again.
The babies were born May 6th and the last week of August. Very close--only four weeks between. We were trying to let her milk dry up so she wouldn't have mastitis, but we discovered it wasn't worth the wait!
Eleven kittens, 2 liters, in 3.8 months
SHE CAN AND WILL get prego again!!!

Yeap, she can get pregnant, most of them get in heat as soon as they give birth to the kittens, my vet recomend to wait 30 days to get her spayed so the kittens wont hurt her.

basically for precautions, you're able to get her spayed ASAP. each and every warmth a cat is going by way of a great deal will boost their probabilities of reproductive cancers and there is no reason to make contributions to the puppy overpopulation.
