At this point in our history, no political action rises to the level of necessity more urgently than the protection of the Constitution and the restoration of the rule of law. George W. Bush and Richard Cheney must be impeached and the powers they have illegally assumed must be repudiated!
I refuse to fund any party or politician failing to honor their responsibility to the Constitution in calling for investigations into the actions of President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney leading to the possible filing of articles of impeachment.
No impeachment - no money. An average American citizen (Willyboy) explains how he is communicating his dissatisfaction to the leaders of the Democratic Party.

The old "lost freedoms" mantra.....

Myself and everyone I know go about our daily lives as normal. We work, shop, go on vacations and enjoy the many things most people take for granted. We have such a vast amount of choices it's astounding. We have all of our freedoms, maybe you just cant find yours because you are too paraniod over nothing.

If you are talking about the Patriot Act, then how about providing some evidence of massive ongoing citizen arrests and being held indefinitley with no charges. This is what you people are alluding to, is it not? Please, no isolated incidents or mistakes allowed.

I intend to wait and see, rather than flip out over percieved danger from our own government.

Sometimes I feel that folks like yourself are responsible for fueling the division in our country, because you all hate Bush so much, you will say anything no matter how absurd, in order to convince everyone else things are way worse than what they really are.

EDIT: All of the things you mentioned, with the exception of "random police stops" and "phone (and internet?) spying" have been pretty much SOP forever.
So what if you need a passport to go to Canada and Mexico? Back in the '80's before I had a passport I still had to show Canadian customs an original birth certificate, so whats your point? It's still a piece of paper.
It just sounds to me like you think you can do whatever, whenever, without any question. The world doesnt work that way, especially since 9-11in the US, but I suppose with your train wreck of thought processes you think 9-11 was an "inside job" too.

I would say vote the bastards out of office but the bastards running against the current ones are just as bad.

Other than the inconvenience encountered at public transportation facilities, I have seen no difference what so ever in my lifestyle.
We are wire tapping possible terrorist calls to suspected terrorists and countries known to harbor terrorists - is this really an inconvenience to the vast majority of Americans?
I don't think so - and if the surveillance results in the prevention of just one terrorist attack similar to 9/11, isn't that what we expect from our government - safety and security?

I haven't lost any freedom unless I call up a terrorist, The Bush Administration has prevented over 700 terrorist attacks here in America, so he can keep on keepin on~

as an individual, i have always wanted to move to another country. not really because of any loss of freedom, but just to get more of a cultural experience. but that could help you regain some freedoms by living in another country. also, become more politically active. you could help change legislation in order for citizens to gain back some freedoms.
