I met her Saturday afternoon for lunch and she was supposed to come to my house after work for dinner but she never showed up or called. I thought she might call on Sunday, but never heard from her. I'm confused since she seemed excited about Saturday night.

Yes be a considerate and sensitive guy and call.

Give her a chance.

Have patience and call and listen to her.

You're going to want to know the answer. You already asked the question on YA, but the only one with the REAL answer is this girl.
Call her. Ask if she had second thoughts about seeing you and decided it wasn't such a good idea. Don't pressure her. Get the real story. Tell her you can handle the truth. Then, be a man and handle the truth. If she tells you she changed her mind, got a better offer, decided to stay home and wash her hair, etc. you know she's not in to you. Then, get over it. You'll find out what you want to know without the waiting and the anguish. Most important, don't be a wuss about it.

Call her! You have no idea what happened. Things do come up you know. Now, if you don't hear from her then, she might be giving you the brush off. Maybe you can find out from a mutual friend. If not, just let it be and move on.

Put your pride aside and at the very least find out why she stood you up. I won't lie, it sounds like she did stand you up on purpose. Especially since she made no attempt to contact you the night of or the day after but you still need to know. Good luck.

Call her once, and say that your paths did not cross Saturday and you hope everything is OK, and that you would like to try to get together again.. If she is still interested she will call you back, if not she was just trying to let you down easy.

Again, only call once, do not call repeatedly, she will think you are desperate and will run far far away.

This is one of those counter intuitive situations. You want to know what happened. You don't want to come off as desperate or needy. You think well I should just let it go and maybe she'll tell me what happened. My advice is to ask her. Then tell her that you don't appreciate your time being wasted. You do not accept flakey behavior. If she does it again, loose her, she isn't worth your time.

She doesn't feel the same excitement she felt the day of. It happens, I don't personally take on flaky chics but if it's your cup of tea...screw it, drop this chic. Don't even think about her man. You don't need a girl in your life that's just gonna flake on you like that.

This person doesn't respect you; don't waste your time.

There are plenty of wonderful, responsible women waiting for you right now, but you don't know it because your are focusing your energy on this careless person.
