Go ahead and ask him. I'm a guy and I like a girl who takes the initiative even if it's not serious. Don't sound eager, just be totally casual otherwise he might think you're trying to make it more serious. If he can't come you'll feel good that you asked him and he'll feel good that he isn't doing all the work. If he does come, maybe you'll have some fun.

Not at all. You said you're already going out casually for about a month and a half. At that length, you should be comfortable asking him over to hang out. If it was only a week that you've known him, then that would be "too forward". So go right ahead!

My question is are you only asking him to hang out at your place tonight, because you feel that you have to, just because you couldn't hang out at his place the other night? Also if its just casual dating then why would you guys need to see each other back to back like that?
Alright none of my business I know. But to me babe, it does sound like, you are feeling obligated for missing a night with him here. I say if you trully want to hang out with someone then go ahead and tell them next time you decline their invite. Say "well I'm sorry I can't make it this nite, but next thursday, I'm free, we can go to a movie or something." See that is how you do it. Don't ever feel you have to replicate invites because you couldn't be in someone's company one evening or day. And especially if its something casual. Casual does not mean serious in the least. Causal is just every so often. And if you don't feel like seeing the guy tonight then don't. See him when you want to, not because you have to.

The idea of a girl being too forward by asking a guy out is out-dated. Girls can and should ask guys out just the same as guys asking them out. I would not ask him over to your place unless you want sex, because that is what it sounds like to the guy. If that's what you want, then hey, do it and have fun. There's nothing cheap or wrong about that. Believe me, the guy will be VERY appreciative.

I don't think it's too forward. I think it's cool. If you're awkward, just keep it light and casual. "Sorry I had to bail last night, but ____, and I couldn't, but I'm free tonight. Want to come over and hang out?" You could rent a movie or video game or whatever - don't know what you guys like to do. But I think it's totally cool. Just be light, casual, and breezy.

Yes - this is the best way to show him that you really couldn't hang out last night and that you weren't just blowing him off. If you like him - show him - be clear about it, guys don't get the hints.

There shouldn't be an issue with that. If you didn't feel like it then you didnt feel like it. I don't see why he wouldn't want to hang out tonight.
