I have found, for the most part, larger people to be more particular about the types of foods they eat.

I realize I should've used the word PICKY instead of finicky. The fat people I have known are the hardest to please when it comes to food. They are more likely to demand things served a certain way. They are open to trying fewer categories of food than skinny people. That is a broad generalization. Of course it doesnt apply to everyone.

Yes, I believe you're right. Finicky doesn't necessarily mean avoiding most foods. It means being more discriminating. So actually either fat or thin people can be finicky. There are other conditions of overweight that doesn't depend on eating alone, such as lack of exercise and thyroid or other metabolic conditions.

My experience seems to be that overweight people are more picky. I'm 5'8", 140lbs and I have barely any foods that I don't like. It's more that I choose not to eat certain foods because they're unhealthy. I have an overweight friend who has a long list of foods that she doesn't like (peppers, pancakes, cucumbers) and tends to flat-out not like certain dishes. I, on the other hand, like pretty much everything unless I know it's unhealthy.

Fatties tend to only eat fried food. I know for sure. Still, the word "finicky" is diferent then "picky". Finicky is more of a "spotty, on and off, no schedule" sounding word. So I'm going with skinny people.

I am not thin and I am a very picky eater.
So I really doubt being picky has anything to do with size.

It's about the individual - I've been fat, I'm now skinny - I'm still a picky eater.
