We know dinosaurs existed and if you don't believe that, you might as well say that the world is flat. I would like a Christian point of view.

It doesn't matter when the word was invented. Automobiles exist and that word wasn't around in biblical times. C'mon- think!

It is a valid question. Please don't get all defensive. Without judging anyone's beliefs, I am asking for opinions. That is it. And don't attack the question without giving a good answer. That is unfair and rude.

think about this, the bible was not written by god it was written by man. And man lies and bends the truth to his own liking. Even popes have been malicious. There is a god imo but the bible was not written by god. The ten commandments probably where. Just follow that and you should be ok.

Because the word wasn't invented until the 19th c. There are some that believe there the Behemoth and Leviathan in the OT are dinosaurs.
Sorry you don't like the answer. The word isn't there because there was no word for it. The descriptions are there, but you don't like that either. You didn't want an answer - you just want to cite an oft-cited "inconsistency" for the purposes of discrediting someone else's belief (not mine.)
Get a life, already.

Because the dinosaurs had died out before the Bible was written and there were no archaeologists or anthropologists in Biblical times to recognize dinosaur bones.
However, some creationists believe that there were dinosaurs on Noah's Ark.

In Genesis chapter 1, it discusses the creation of all of earth's creatures (vs 21, 24). It does not directly mention dinosaurs, but they are no doubt included in Chapter 1's discussion of creation. Knowing and learning about dinosaurs has little to do with the outworking of God's purposes. The Bible isn't a history about the earth. Rather, the Bible's purpose is to instruct mankind on God's purpose and how is required of us by God.

The Bible labelled Leviathan and Behemoth long before scientists came up with the word 'dinosaur'.

We have no idea how much time passed between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.
It could have been a billion years for all we know.
Then consider that time did not exist until the 3rd day.
No way to know.
BTW, what makes you think they are all dead?

I am a christian and I don't believe that dinosaurs existed for the simple fact that they are not mentioned in the bible and I do believe the earth is flat. I would go on to explain why but that was not the question.

Because the bible is an esoteric allegory relating to the evolution of mind and the forces/laws which work upon it and not some historical narrative. Imo from a person who is Gnostic or a mystic this question from Atheist is as stupid as a Theist asking if man evolved from apes why are there still apes around, or if man evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys around. From a Gnostic perspective this question is as equally dumb as the evolution question.

Not every animal that existed is mentioned in the bible. Perhaps they were killed in the flood, that makes sense. But now that you have asked this question I am curious.. I'l ltry to find out more about it.
