Gee, I hate to spoil the "yes" party here...but...the answer is no, it will not run down the battery. At least not enough to kill it. I leave a volt meter on in my car 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week, etc. I guess if you don't use the golf cart for about a month it may run it down too low to start the cart. Other than that, it is a very minimal discharge. Hope this helps.

Your question is lacking in the English department. you want to know about a volt-a-meter, first off whats a volt-a-meter. is that the same as a volt meter? then you ask about a "amp gauge". is that like an ammeter? Anyway to answer your question; the volt/ammeter will not drain your battery if it is powered by its own battery. if its the type you install inline , i dont know where your putting the ammeter ; i guess inline with the amp?, anyway if you install both a ammeter and a voltmeter you will stand a chance of running down the battery , you see , when you use one of these you have to know how they work. if they auto turn off when there is no voltage/current then it will NOT drain battery, if they stay on this yes. plus are you lying ? who putts subs in a golf cart.
