You don't really have 5 versions of Java. Simply updated the same 2 versions. Yes you need at least 2 of them.. But, if you uninstall any, uninstall ALL of them and redo it with the latest.

Also really depends on the sites you are visiting. Some require a specific version to be installed (1.42 vs 5 or 6).
