In all the chaos, there are certain people I'm not quite sure I was able to say hello to at my wedding. When writing my thank you notes, I'd like to thank them for coming to the wedding with out the "and it was nice seeing you" part. Any suggestions on how to word this?

I think it would be nice to say something like, "I'm so glad you were able to attend our wedding. It means a lot to us to have you join in on our special day."

Most people know that it's a busy and hectic time for the bride and groom, it's nearly impossible to talk to everyone when it's a large group.

I dont think its necessary to thank people for coming. Is the purpose of the note to thank for a gift? Then just write about the gift itself and if you know for certain they were present at the wedding you can add thank you for attending.

You could also thank them for sharing your day. Add that they made the day that much more special and you're glad they were able to attend.

I wouldn't worry too much about it--they understand that you are busy.

I always tried to write, "Dear Blah Blah--We were so happy to to have you (and your family/wife/date/etc) be able to make it to your wedding. Thank you so much , and I hope to see you soon as we were not able to talk much at the reception.

Thanks again,

You could just say something like thank you being apart of our special day or something to the nature

''Thank you for taking part in our special day. Your presence was much appreciated as well as (whatever gift was given). Me and (your hubby) were so glad you were able to make it, and hope that we will be able to get together again in the near future."

"Thank you for joining us on our wonderful day."

OR

"I'm sorry I didn't have more time to chat with you, but I'm so glad you were there."

OR

"It was so lovely to see you at the wedding." (Doesn't mean you actually spoke.)

Just maybe..."thank you so much for being there to share our special day with us. Just seeing your faces added to our happiness immensely" Or something like that. :-)

You could put something like "Thanks for taking the time to come to our wedding, we really appreciate it." or "It means a lot to us that you came to our wedding." Something like that, it let's them know that you appreciate their presence at your wedding.
