Depends on where the tattoo is and what the design is. You can never tell what someone might find offensive.
I have tattoos and I have never had a problem getting a job.
I've been a hiring manager and someones body art has never affected my decision on weather to hire or not. (something very obvious that might offend some people - like a naked person or demon skull I would ask them to cover while they were at work - customer service: You have to worry about everything!)

It depends where it is. As long as you can hide it easily, with your uniform or whatever, it shouldn't be hard to find. And if there's an interview involved, don't let it show at all, because most people frown upon it. Yes, they are quite commonplace, but so is wildly colored hair, and you never see people like THAT working in really nice places. It affects something, you still have to look presentable.

Yes it does. As a recruiter I can tell you that image is everything in the first few seconds. You have to look the part you are applying for. If you want to work in a bar or anything associated with Nightlife, it can be helpful. If you want to work in more conventional areans, it can really hinder you. Some restaurants won't hire you if your tattoo is visible, esspecially if it is a "family" dining facilty.

It's hard to say--tattoos are things people are prejudiced about...yes, they're becoming common place among young people, but bosses are not usually young people. If possible, make your tattoos less visible for interviews, that sort of thing, so they're not even an issue until you've been assessed on your own merit, not the way you look.

food its not really a big deal at fast food places, when you get the classier places its iffy.
i work in jewelry and have several tattoos. they are on my legs and back, where if they need to be covered they can be, they dont mind them really at my job, they allow tats and piercings but the older clients (who tend to spend more, and we are commissioned) dont like being helped by someone with tats or piercings, plus the ones on my legs im allowed to show just because we are always behind counters:)!

I think having a tattoo (exposed) can definitely impact your interview. It also depends on the clientele of the food facility or restaurant.

Some people freak about the increased risk of hepatitis. I imagine it won't be a BIG deal, but you may finds some hiring managers that are averse to it.

That all depends.
I put a shirt and tie on and no one but my wife knows I have them. It has never hurt my chances for a job but I'm a blue collar. If you get a swastika on your head your not getting a job, if you get hate tatted on your knuckles no job tear drops no job, just realize what your doing and make adult decisions.
