The standards are the same regardless. Now things can be done as far as waivers and such but with a combination of charges...... its a tough call. If you had gotten busted shoplifting alone... maybe. A DUI alone again maybe. The failure to appear is the worst as you could have been in trouble but that shows that you don't respect authority. So that would be a tough sell to the people who decide on waivers.

There are things you can do if you really, really want to be in the military. It may take some time but you can get there if you want to. Talk to a Nation Guard recruiter and they can guide you. But odds are straight up you will have a hard time. Basically they will tell you the same thing...... if you want it you will someday get it. But with your record........ you will have to work at it and those with your record usually won't follow through.

Honest answer.

The only person that can answer your question is your local National Guard Recruiter, make a full and complete disclosure regarding your record, hope for the best...

confident she could because of the fact she has positioned a lot of paintings into you ( alot which you have no longer seen) yet ultimatly it is your decision. in spite of the shown fact that in case you have been to connect the army and tward the tip of your basic you may desire to talk on your first seargent and tell him that the doorstep mom have been clinically determined with breast maximum cancers and he could be prepared to deliver you to an obligation station closer to living house. have faith me the army is a much extra sensible orginization. you do no longer prefer to be deployed with the nationwide shield. I actual have had many pals in there and none of them have had something sturdy to assert approximately it. pass military

It wasn't really that your recruiter rejected you. He just went ahead and let you know that MEPS wont take you. Get those issues resolved, then try again. Going to another recruiter wont help much.

You can try anything. What's the worst they can do? Say no.

Keep trying. See different recruiters. I can't promise anything, but no harm in trying.

probably not, beings NG and regular army go to the same basic. you could go to a NG recruter, its worth a try. but my guess would be no.

sorry, the army life is a wnderful thing...keep trying and see if you can clear up whatever is holding you back..its worth it going active. everything is free where NG is not.

maybe, maybe not. the Nat'l Guard has been, of late, more willing to grant waivers, but it is by no means a certainty.
