"Who you are speaks so loudly I cannot hear what you say."
Ralph Waldo Emerson. Is WHO we are speaking so loudly to the world around us,That that is the reason that they aren't hearing what we say?"Do what I say,not what I do Christianity?"Or are you "living a lifestyle worthy of the calling that which you have recieved?"Are you,are we,as a body doing what we are shouting to the world is the RIGHT thing to do?Are we walking the walk we so passionately share w/ the world is the RIGHT path?In Romans we are told"Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it w/o even thinking."DO YOU fit in without thought?Equating this to an evangelism principle,Our life message has the GREATEST impact in paving the way for us to deliver the Gospel message in words. The effectiveness of what we say relies most on the character of the messenger than on the content of the message.“What you are speaks so loudly I can’t hear what you say.”What message are you speaking w/ who you are?

I'm not "downing" Christians... just asking each one of us to step back and look at ourselves, instead of judging others. I asked myself this very same question...

It's important that we all do a daily assesment of ourselves to see if we are adhering to the best of our ability to walk in the way that God commands.
We ALL fall short daily, none of us plan to stray off of the path, but we do and because God reads the heart, he knows our intentions and the effort that we put forth in doing His will
It's important that others "hear" who we are by "what" we do, and how we carry ourselves....if it's in the right way, we leave an indelible mark of goodness that they will remember.

If we start listing the things we do in our lives, then we will be called less than humble. There is no need. I am a child of the most high God, living in a world desperately seeking for answers. Doing my best, with God's strength and direction to be an example of His Love, compassion, forgiveness, and steadfast faith.
I believe God is who He says He is, I believe God will do the things He said He will do. I believe that I am who he says I am. I believe I can do all things through Christ. I believe Christ Jesus, The Word, is alive and active in my life.

CJ is just wrong and nondescript offers nothing to support what he blantantly claims is true in just a few sentences. I've heard it all before - You saying does not make people suddenly become "enlightened."
Anyway, I partially agree. It's a good thing for people to think about. Not that people can exactly tell who one is on yahoo answers... but the way one says things matters alot.
But what is coming out of your mouth matters as well. Many people don't care about you, they care about following what is true. That's what Christian apologists aim to show. I personally think we should teach Christians how to intellegently explain/defend their beliefs and make rational arguments, but in a good way. A way that shows your life has been changed, and that you practice what you preach.

We should then do our best to be what we say. That's not so easy, though, having a sin nature. The sin nature causes us to be rather self centered which causes us to be easily offended which causes us to be pretty obnoxious. Bottom line -- We aren't being who we are.
What we need to do is to grow close to Jesus. The rest should simply fall into place.

they are actually not Jews with the aid of fact Jew's don't think the messiah has come yet. they do no longer believe Jesus so believing in Jesus and announcing your Jewish of course contradicts one yet another.... it incredibly is unhappy that there are those Evangelist Christians that decision themselves "Jews". provide up this custom now, your disgracing the two Judaism and Christianity.

You're right. Paul said to be on one's toes especially when with the non-believer and to season our speech with salt. They won't care what we know unless they know that we care. That being said, we are a body of people who recognize our shortcomings, frailities, weaknesses, and faults. We return again and again for forgiveness. Please do be careful so that the Pharisee doesn't get a toe hold on you. Make the tax collector your example: "God, be merciful to me, a sinner."

Yes, I am living a life that speaks of Christianity.
I do not preach. I do not evangelize. I let my light shine.
Actions speak louder than words.

Who cares? You'll be judged, according to Jesus, by His Gospel of His death and resurrection for sins, not how I live my life. Get over yourself.
