If you BELIEVE that Jesus is God and died for your sins and rose again, you're fine.
It's not about what you DO or SAY, it's about what you BELIEVE. Trust Jesus.

Hi I'm a 21year old christian. Let me tell you its perfectly natural the way you're feeling once you have the desire to serve Christ He will guide you through everything. Just don't be afraid to ask him or talk to Him about everything.
Its kinda like making a friend. You have to invest time to really get to know them. The best way to get to know someone is to find out about them and talk to them. This is where prayer & reading the bible comes in. Prayer helps you to become God's friend and reading the bible helps you to stand strong against the enemy.
I recently read this book called the 'Purpose Driven Life' by Rick Warren, its really good, this will help put things into perspective and help you draw strength from other Christians. Other Christian literature that's really helpful & practical are Joyce Meyer, Myles Munroe...
And another thing when you feel a little discouraged it always good if you have other belivers to talk to so you can strengthen and encourage each other with your testimonies.
( Like iron sharpens iron)
The Favour of God is upon you!
Grace and peace be multiplied not nulified ,but intensified so that the glorified will be magnified till he is satisfied. (this is a little greeting the youths at my church say to encourage and bless each other.)patent pending, of course.

It is okay to have doubts about anything thing that is your way of rationalizing your thoughts. Are you involved in a particular denomination that you are not "sure" about? Do you feel as if you accept that there is a God, but you don't necessarily like the Church or the way things are done?...if thats the case then you need not "shop for a religion" and focus on what your "conscience" tells you it takes time when on a spiritual journey. There's nothing wrong with asking questions...it's in your best interest to do so.

Many thinks you have to say certain words & other belief that you have to beg God & other believe that you have to cry a long time, But God hears just the very simple honest sincere prayers, We don't have to beg God, & we don't have to be in a church somewhere to be saved, you can be out in a hay field, Because the alter we come to is in our hearts. Satan will try to make you doubt no matter how long you have been a Christian, I have been a Christian for over 37 yrs. & to this day he tries his best to make me doubt. but one thing satan forgot, What God does for us, no one not even satan can take it away. So as you learn to walk with God you will sometimes stumble & fall, It is not if you stumble & fall but it is don't just lay there, get up & go on with God. We grow spiritually the same as we do naturally, we first learn to crawl & then walk.

Get stuck into the bible, New Testament is the easiest to start with. Start on a Gospel, Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. Then Try Acts and a letter after that e.g Philippians, James.
Get along to a local church and find someone to disciple you.
If you are committed you'll grow very fast.
You're bound to have doubts and questions just press on and press through. God Bless Dan

Instead of looking backwards (Did I do it right?), look forwards. Look for ways to LIVE your faith, the way Christ said to. Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the imprisoned, free the oppressed, minister to the sick and dying, etc. When you see that you have both the desire and the fortitude to live like Christ, you will know that He lives in you.
And by the way, if you go to a church that emphasizes some formula ("saying the right words") or ties your salvation to anything but Grace (being "really sincere"), you might want to keep in mind that there are many other churches out there who might be better able to help you grow in Christian truth.

If you know that you sin, and that you cannot be acceptable before G-d on your own, and rely on G-d to make the way that you can be acceptable, and honestly attempt to be good, but sinning just because you can be forgiven; then you are fine... exact word don't matter.
Learn what is right, do it to the best of your ability, and admit to G-d when you fail, and try to change.... no more is required.
Also, take the internet with a ton of salt!
Edit: (in response to the first answer) what you do matters because is shows what you desire to do, aka what is "in our heart". See the book of James, and Mathew 7:15-27

You are under a Spiritual attack. If you have the means, pick-up Joyce Meyer's book Battlefield of the Mind. It is normal to have doubts during this time, but keep your faith and make sure to have a consistent quiet time, whether it be first thing in the morning or some other time during the day. Also, try reaching out to some people in your age group at church through Sunday School or other Bible studies.

Doubts in a new believer is normal. But, know that your belief or faith does not come from you, God gave it to you. Unfortunately, you may have been taught that salvation comes because you do something, that is not Biblical. God calls out those for salvation, He does it all. It does not depend on a prayer or you doing the right things, it is a total work of God. He predestined you, called you, justified you, redeemed you, will sanctify you and glorified you. Rest in that.
Rom 8:28 But we know that to the ones loving God all things work together for good, to those being called according to purpose;
Rom 8:29 because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers.
Rom 8:30 But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

As long as you worship a prophet of G*d, and not G*d himself, you will not be where you want to be spiritually. Until you give yourself to G*d in peace, willing submission, your inner self will have doubts...others mar tell you to attribute them to the devil, but you have the common sense that G*d gave you, use it to find the truth. I suggest you go to a Mosque and speak with an Imam, or you can cal 1-888-WHY-ISLAM and ask any questions you may have of the staff there...Good Luck.

You became a Christian the exact moment you said "yes" even in your thoughts
Our God is a loving God, an all knowing God who loves us more than He loved His own life.
You could have said no words at all and you would have been saved -If God is God then God knows your heart even better than you do ---You have nothing to worry about !
