you are going to a place where the fish are sold after caught by the inch. the fish are starving and I wouldn't use eggs I would use powerbait dough in white and you just ball it up and hide the small hook put a small split shot a foot over the hook and the bobber three feet over the hook. Try not to reel the bobber through the eyes on the rod..... have a great time

WOW...You got some really "Out There" responses. If you are already using an "egg hook" or "regular shanked hooks" and they are still falling off. The answer is Simple. Your jar of Eggs is TOO OLD and they are soft from decomposition/breaking down in the oil they are packed in.Just buy a NEW FRESH JAR.........Simple
Hint: To keep them fresher longer store them in a refrigerator with the jar lid closed tightly...between fishing trips

Ask at your neighborhood sporting goods store. If you want to use but one egg at a time, there are hooks designed specially for this purpose. You can use other hooks by tying three or four eggs in a fine mesh sack and sticking that on your hook.

Well I don't know if you are serious or not!!!! Salmon eggs for bait??? But then I'm from Texas. Who knows. Well here is how we use chicken livers to catch catfish. Cut some panty hose or stockings into small squares about 3in X 3in. Put the eggs in the center and tie up the corners. Put this on your hook. Works great.

Buy an inexpensive pair of women’s nylons.
Put your eggs on your hook. Wrap and tie a piece of the nylon around the top of the hook
Do this to several hooks. Freeze them. And put them in a cooler when you go fishing.
Just take one out and use it.
Seems silly, but it works very well!!

Gore them all the way through, and use several of them so that at least a few of them will be on there. Better yet, use thinner hooks.
