I'm moving to Nevada and I had a DUI 4 yrs ago in CA, what is going to happen? My licence is in "suspension" until Dec 16th of this year. Can I still get my licence in Nevada?

Actually, this is not all as clear as the above would indicate. It is true that all traffic records are available nationwide. However, if you are a Nevada resident, you are subject to Nevada's laws on suspensions. Nevada will know your California record, you must answer honestly that you have a CA license, and they will check, but if Nevada law does not require a suspension with that record, you can get a Nevada license (even though your driving privilege may remain suspended in California).

The worst that can happen, if you answer all the questions honestly, is that they turn you down.

I say decide for it! i ask your self in basic terms what would take place. many times, my answer would be no you could no longer get the license for many of the comparable motives reported via others. yet you're talking approximately AL!!! heavily, your contemporary arrest will tutor on your license in basic terms as immediately as a clerk enters it on your using record. If it is accomplished immediately, then it incredibly is going to tutor once you observe in AL. heavily, there is an extremely solid risk that sometime interior the AL technique you would be asked some contemporary license or suspension. tell the reality & you will no longer get the license. Lie & you open the door to achieveable prosecution later for the lie. heavily, states have reciprocal agreements on driving force privileges. A suspension in one state is upheld interior the others. heavily, the Asst. DA has a factor.... you're able to get a license in AL. the subject isn't basically are you able to get the license. the subject is are you able to get it without mendacity. you will could study each and every observe on the applying supplies to be certain you do no longer devote perjury. yet an AL license will do you no solid in CO. it is not in basic terms your license it is suspended. it is your using PRIVILEGE. you could have 40 9 different driving force's licenses yet you nonetheless cannotchronic in CO or the different state with a reciprocal contract to uphold the CO suspension.

No..... legally you can not.

When you go to your new state they will need proof of where your last license was from. Either way, most every states Motor Vehicle Departments are connected so they can see if you are suspended anywhere.

If by chance you do slip through and obtain a license, WHEN caught you are in a world of hurt. You will be getting some felony charges and believe me, you will spend years trying to get that fixed.

Don't tempt it... wait it out.

Most, if not all states are linked by computer, so your driving privileges are basically suspended everywhere. If you apply in another state for a license, and do not mention that your current license is under suspension, you are committing perjury by submitting false information which is a felony.

While flawed communication in the system may let that happen, it is still illegal and could lead to larger criminal issues for you. Just don't do it.
