Depends on what you dropped in.

Stormy K--Now I have heard of the motto "Be Prepared", but that whole net thing is a little over the top! (smiles)

Sure! It's just water, maybe a little p,
or even some good honest sh*t.
We did a test in high school and found
there are more germs on a public
drinking fountain than in the water
of a toilet. Just wash your hands
extra well when you're done.

True Story: my id badge once fell into a public toilet....the cost to replace it would have been $20.

I washed my hands and the badge for a very long time. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat....

So I guess $20 is my bench mark...though a $10 bill would be tempting.

Depends on what that "something" is. In most cases, I'd say yes, especially if it's something that could flood the place if flushed. The toilets (usually) are cleaned daily, and you can wash your hands with soap afterward.

probably not of course it depends on what it is...I always have a pair of those rubber gloves from the Dr's office in my purse...for some reason when I'm there I always feel the need to swipe a pair ...come on you know you do it to...so they are usually at the bottom of my purse...so if it was something important I'll get good use out of them...but if I drop my purse I guess I'm out of luck and would have to go potty surfing

i believe its worth it if the water is clean. peple assume toilet water is dirty because of what goes into it. but after a person flushes, the water isn't as filthy as you think. now, if you just slipped a 3musketeers into that bad boy and then dropped your keys in there, then well, you have a decision to make.

if its fresh water, then i'd retrieve what fell in. then i'd wash my hands thoroughly. you probably touch worse on doorknobs, public railings and not to mention public sink knobs.

Depends on what it is. It's got to be pretty valuable to me though. The public 'Johns' withstand a lot of abuse if you know what I mean.

If I dropped a $100 bill or a nice peice of jewelry in there, then yes.
