Since she's agreeing to this, she's probably doesn't have a serious phobia. Start slowly by taking her to rooftops and walking across bridges. This will help her get used to being up high.

There are a few things that you can do to help your partner with her fear of flying. I have been petrified of flying myself, but over the years, I have had to take many flights and now tolerate it quite well. The first thing is getting her on the flight. Take off and landing are the worst, turbulence can add to the fear. The information I am going to provide is from personal experience. If she is old enough to drink, a couple of drinks before boarding the plane will help to relax her, also, a doctor can prescribe a medication to help with her anxiety about flying. Even after all the air disasters, flying is still safer than riding in an automobile. After she survives her first flight, the next flight will be easier.

Keep away from Airports LOL Seriously, the best way is through reassurance and no fuss. Explain to her that millions of people are flying at any time. Let her know how safe and comfortable it is. When you get to the airport, explain what is happening, through all the stages, from check in to take off. Let her have the window seat and just reassure her. Try to make the experience a fun one. If you do have any difficulty, ask a Cabin Crew member for assistance, they are well experienced in dealing with nervous fliers.

the best way to completely get over your fears is go to you local General aviation airport and take flying lessons! Once you fly in a small airplane a few times and learn that airplanes fly and that’s all they do you will be much more confident with flying on commercial planes. You will learn a lot with a few flying lessons. I could even teach you a lot by just showing you my Microsoft Flight Simulator. Flying is a great experience, once you get used to it and learn what makes airplanes fly etc.. your fears go away trust me, I used to be a little bit scared to fly too. Now I LOVE it

I used to be terrified until I sat near the window and could see exactly what was going on. At the end of the day If she doesn't get on a plane she will end up not visiting any of the worlds fantastic places. Hope that this helps.

As strange as it sounds the only real way is to get up in the skies and fly. There are support groups and such but in the end to conquer the fear one must face it.
