Exercise is always good for dogs and puppies, even if they are suffering from a bacterial infection. It shouldn't do any harm to your puppy to go for a walk. If you notice that he or she is tiring a little more easily, then make the walk a little shorter. Watch your pup's body language to see what he or she is capable of doing. Many dogs don't even acknowledge they have an infection and go about their day as if there is nothing wrong. So again, take your cues from your pup and go from there!
Hope that helps!

If the dog is still hyper and active I would continue with the walks but if the dog is acting lazy I would cut out the walks for a few days until the dog feels a bit better. Good Luck!!

It depends on how bad the infection is and how the dog feels. If the infection is bad enough to make him feel lethargic, then wait until he feels better. If it is a minor infection and his activity level seems the same, then go ahead and go for a walk. Just make sure that you watch him and go home if he starts acting tired so you are not pushing him.

I'd ask a vet, not Yahoo! Answers! the vet knows best for your dog.

1. the dog does need the rest so his organism can fight the infection
2. it would be unfair exposing other dogs to the bug
good luck!

i would let him rest as much as he is willing. if he is driving you nuts about wanting to go for a stroll take him, but until he starts bugging you about it i would let him heal.

I'd keep him inside. If he's a hyper dog I'd play with him inside.
