Why are they so worried about the illegal aliens who break OUR laws? There are plenty of starving people right here in the USA who need help to get out of their rut...look at how many homeless people are USA VETERANS who have PTSD!
What about OUR heritage that they are stomping on and ignoring and fully wanting the US citizens to give up?

What does something that happened 200 years ago have to do with now? I don't see the connection about this day and age.

The heritage of America as I see it was forged by people like Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin,Rosa Parks,Harry Ford, Orville Wright, Martin Luther King,Bill Gates, Thomas Jefferson,Franklin Roosevelt, June Cleaver (yes I know she's TV),Susan B Anthony- Abraham Lincoln- it's about pioneering and being brave. It's about making lemonade out of lemons- It's about turning sand into castles fit for kings with our own hands in our own land.
It appears our current influx of illegal aliens have no interest or understanding of courage, honor, respect and the high price of happiness paid by your own calloused hands.

Many dont see the "illegal" crowd as illegal- they see Bob working, or talking with Miguel as fun...why would they want to call them illegal? I have a female friend who is pregnant by someone who she is not sure is legal (she's afraid to ask)- they would take the father from her?
The problem is that the whole thing is being discussed emotionally and subjectively rather than rationally and objectively...and the whole issue has NOTHING to do with "protecting the heritage of the USA".
If you have a social security number being used by someone else illegally and you report it, they will not deal with the person using your number and wipe your social security contributions clean- which will affect your benefits later on should you live long enough to collect. That story was on NBC Dateline...
It's not about protecting the heritage- it's about protecting the citizens of the United States of America.

I think that we should protect our own. However, I don't think there are people that actually die of starvation here. If there are, please provide a link. From what I have gathered: yes, there are people that eat ramen noodles, and, there are homeless that have to go to "community meals" and steal fruit from homeowners trees, and, rifle through the garbage, but, they aren't dying. The same is not true in Mexico, and, I don't know that that really is much of a point, anyway.
THe heritage of the USA is a melting pot. There is no "USA culture". We are a mixture of cultures from around the world. Once upon a time, we didn't have a St. paddys day, thanksgiving, christmas, these have all been added, and, represent different cultures and religions. I think that at some point in the future, we may celebrate 5 de Mayo and have great strawberry margaritas..... I don't it will lead to the "demise" of our country, though.

I agree with you 100%! The pro-illegals are led by special interest groups like La Raza and ACLU and the big business owners who profit from the illegals. These organizations and businesses only care about themselves, and not America as a whole. Therefore, they can careless about protecting the heritage of the USA.
I agree with Disneylandgirl that individuals are responsible to protect the American heritage but on top of that, it's also important that our government helps to foster that in our culture. Currently, our government is bending over backwards trying to accommodate the Hispanics and Muslims/Arabs (thanks to political correctness). For example, hiring teachers who speak Spanish to teach a regular class (not ESL). Another example is the footwashes in airports so that the Muslims can wash their feet to pray (what's up with that?). Then, there's the Arabic school in the public school system in NYC (opening this Fall). They claim they won't teach Islam...but it's a school that will emphasize Arabic language, history, and culture (instead of emphasizing the American history and culture). When these children grow up, how are they going to appreciate or protect the American heritage if they don't even know what it is. Their allegiance would be with the Arabic world instead of the U.S. I don't see how this can be a good thing.

You should know that a large part of your heritage is based on blood money.
I can respect that you want to help citizens first. Just don't forget the bad stuff that is real:
* Killing and raping and robbing the Indians. The whole continent.
* Slaving blacks and putting them down with terrorism and exploiting them and forgetting them.
* Illegally deporting Mexican Americans who were US citizens.
* Illegally putting Japanese Americans who were US citizens in concentration camps.
Yes I know the American history and heritage is not ALL as bad there are many good things to be proud of. But I don't see that aliens legal or illegal are a threat to that for real.
And I wish that more Americans did know about the shamefull parts and faced the facts.
You are wrong anon. Mass deporting American citizens was illegal. So was putting American citizens in captivity w/o cause.
I see from the bad ratings that some people are mad at me for what I am saying. It is still true even if you don't like it. All of these things really did happen.

The heritage of the USA started some time ago as English colonists.
Every year since, the United States has improved with the arrival of German, Irish, Italian and many other immigrants.
The United States is not a stagnant toilet full of bitter, frightened little people. It is a melting pot of people from all over the world who agree that freedom is worth having.
Our heritage is liberty. That is all.

Ugh - all these answers from un-informed government schooled know nothings. Deportation is not illegal, neither was rounding up the Japanese. This is not a country of immigrants; it is a country of native born. The statue of liberty has NOTHING to do with national policy. And that bogus saying on it even less. France is now paying it's illegals to leave.
Those people are pro-illegal because they are anti-American. They are for anything that will destroy this country, which is why they love suicide bombers and illegals.

Our heritage is our FLAG! It is our sovernty! It is that our laws state you must do these things BEFORE you come to our country.
Do you have any idea why we hunt deer in south Texas? Any idea why we license the hunt and set limits? Is it because the we're afraid of the deer taking over Texas? No, it is because they will procreate until there is not enough food to feed them. Am I suggesting the Aliens and deer have the same IQ?... some of them. Am I suggesting that we license the hunt of aliens?... not yet. I would love to see a day when Mexican nationals come to this country, wave our flag, and become proud US citizens. Instead, I fear, our resources will continue to migrate south with each deportation.

Don't let the pro's shake you up, you're right! People who have served our nation, should have a hand up. PTSD is a very real condition and many suffer from it who haven't even been in a war! Our heritage is freedom! Americans have fought for it and earned that right for hundreds of years! Most of the other holidays, etc. have come from a plethora of countries and most of them are pagan, although I enjoy them, too! There is no reason to accept illegal invasion except in GW's agenda! Since he is an idiot born with a silver spoon and has no idea what our country is going through, I try to disregard his notions as much as possible!

I do worry about it.. I wouldn't call protecting our "heritage", that is something else entirely. I am a 7 year volunteer at shelter/soup kitchen, participate in graffiti clean up, volunteer to fill out income tax returns for low income income people, collect blankets for our city program "Blanket the city with love".. good enough?
