he purposely took out Marcos Ambrose, ignored all the black flags, and took away Kevin Harvick's moment of Glory in the debut race in Montreal?

BTW, Robby did apologize to his fans at www.robbygordon.com, but no one even goes there except the few fans he has. He is a disgrace to our Country & to NASCAR.

Why doesn't it surprise me that the 31bush car fans blame Nascar when Robby clearly ignored all Black Flags, then pretended to win.....he made more of a fool of himself than he a;ready is.

you r right about Juan Pablo Montoya took out his team-mate Pruette, and that was in Mexio, I had forgotten about that one!

I have personally been to a race where I saw Robby taking other racers out on purpose, so I guess Robby was just being himself, and he got caught this time, he deserves to PAY.

to Nascar fan 31, I know that is Jeff Burton in the Cup, but in the bush race, Robby Gordon is number 31. I would never say anything about Burton, but Jeff Gordon will always be the best, like he is now!!

OK, I get what you all said, not to our Country, but he was definately wrong in what he did by ignoring the official's black flag when he caused the caution, and still kept right on going in that little world of his. He is definately an embarassment to Nascar!!

2007-08-07 05:31:41 · update #7

OK, MY BAD, I gave inaccurate info on Robby when I said that he caused the caution, what really happened was that he banged Ambrose on the re-start, then later Ambrose hit Gordon as the caution came out......and now that I have read all of your answers, and have read more info on this, I now believe that Gordon was right, except for the fact that he did not maintain his speed during the caution. It's really hard for the drivers to even know when the caution comes out, because up stairs, they look at 10 different T.V.s at different angles, and then decide whether or not to put out the caution. Any other comments will be appreciated. Like I said, MY BAD, I should have had all the facts for making such a snap judgement, and for that I do apologize!!

for his actions taken when nascar had ordered him to do something I do know Nascar was partially at fault but his response was uncalled for
Its ridiculous, he should be banned from the sport permantly now...that was childish and uncalled for very detrimental to the sport Robby Gordon = NO CLASS and this is not the first time he has done something stupid

Also remember at Daytona he throws something on the track on the back stretch to cause a caution they need to do something about this little baby

Before crowning him "The Ugly American" keep in mind what Robby did has been done hundreds of times.Look what Juan Pablo did to Pruett at the road course in Mexico and that's a teammate.I'm not saying Robby was right to "punt" Ambrose but as a race fan,it wasn't unexpected, nor was it unprecedented.Happens all the time and where or what country your in is irrelevent.By the way some might argue Kevin didn't exactly win by driving nicely.although I'm not one of them. But some might say he "punted" Pruett to win, too.

Did you just read stories about the Busch race? I can't believe you would ask this question if you actually watched what happened. Robby got screwed by NASCAR and he has every right in the world to be livid. Ambrose took him out FIRST and that was even under caution. I would have done the same thing Robby did and most fans take his side on this deal. He is as American as they come. The powers that be in NASCAR may penalize him but it is still a free country and people should be allowed to fight for what is right. I'm guessing you are in the vast minority on this issue. Did you hear the crowd at Pocono when they were trying to interview Mike Helton? Too funny, "We're having technical difficulties right now and we'll be right back after a commercial break." The real embarassment in all of this is Mike Helton and Brian France. They should have red flagged the race and figured out the proper order to restart for an exciting finish. They were wrong for allowing the race to go green with Gordon behind Ambrose. I was actually surprised he didn't spin him in the FIRST turn on the restart.

thank you to bypass Robby! i think of that's an excellent concept and that i'm hoping he has super fulfillment together with his new product. As an proprietor/driving force he has been protecting his very own with what sponsorship he has. Now that he has an entire time driving force and could be waiting to pay interest on his employer, which will artwork out super for him. reliable success Robby!

What he did is sort of embarrassing but after a few days to process it all, I think about how I would have felt if I were Robby.

I certainly would have handled it differently and would have taken my black flag that way I would have had grounds for an appeal but I do agree that he got robbed and dealt with it in a totally inappropriatey, sore-sport way. He has been driving for way too long to behave this way.

He crossed the line with leaps and bounds by trying to rob the spotlight from Harvick but there are those who think he didn't deserve it as well.

I disagree with how he handled it but my heart goes out to anyone when I see NASCAR brass do such a bad job of officiating.

Hello fatcat - don't you have some litterbox advice to be giving in the animal section? It's a dirty job but someone with such a name fits the bill!!!LOL!!

Personally I think the embarassment goes to NASCAR,
They had no idea what was going on.

I don't know what Robby was thinking by ignoring the black flags, but later he was sure basking in the glory of that winning moment. LOL

No, Not to our country but to himself and to the sport. He has been a sniffling baby his whole career why should that change now.He didn't do well in CART and has had the same results in NASCAR. Maybe he should go back to off road racing where he does ok.

Personally, I find you to be the embarrassment by making such a judgement. That was racing, and that was Nascar, period. Harvick's moment wasn't obtained exactly fairly, either. Did you see the 5 car wreck on the turn just before Ambrose and Gordon got into it? OK!

Nascar did all that not Robby Gordon!!!!!!

I'm not sure what you mean when you say the 31busch car fans blaming Nascar, but if your talking about me i am a Jeff Burton#31 Fan!
I do blame Nascar for the circus they called the Busch race on Saturday! Robby Gordon stood his ground as he should have!

I don't know about that. I was actually rather impressed with Robby that he would stand his ground when he felt he had been so terribly wronged by the decisions of the NASCAR officials on site. Frankly, I think Robby was right and NASCAR was wrong. Now did he go overboard with his actions? Probably. But was I embarassed by it? Not in the least.
