I "fainted" on Saturday evening after mixing alcohol and a hot bath (I always feel faint after baths though) and I just remember drinking in the kitchen. The next thing I knew, I was on the floor and glass was everywhere. My mom came in at the last moment and she said I was lying there for 2 minutes because that was when she heard the glass shattered (she thought that I was having a seizure but then just saw me laying there for a couple of seconds). She said that I was lying on the ground with my eyes wide open and they were moving around and I was starring at the ceiling. I woke up and I was positive that I was dreaming. Ever since, I have been having problems with concentration and my head just feels EMPTY. I can't really think really. My eyes feel kind of weird and I can't keep them focus. What do you think? I'm trying to find a doctor in my local area but I wanna make sure that it's not in my head before I go (I have no insurnace).

Also, I'm having some problems reading. Looking at words bother my eyes. I'm typing this and looking at the keyboard and zoning out.

In my opinion the best way to rule out a seizure you need to see a neurologist who specializes in seizures of this sort among many other diseases, etc. Describe for him everything that happened and it might help to have you mother present so that she can also explain what she saw from someone else's perspective. There are different types of seizures and if you click on the link that I listed below, it will inform you more about seizures. This is not some random link, I am quite familiar with Mayo Clinic as it is highly specialized medical facility and is a research center. Many people seek to go there when no one else can help. I do believe however, that your symptoms do not need to reflect such a high profile medical institution but believe that your Neurologist should be able to diagnose you properly and rule out any other conditions. The important thing to know is that not everyone knows why that have seizures (if that is what you are having) and sometimes people just have them. However, sometimes their are underlying causes that need to be investigated further and your physician will have to look into that. Your physician will take a complete history medical, your symptoms etc. (It might be a good idea to write down any symptoms that you have or had in the past that may not have seemed to make any sense or it may seem not related but in fact could be. This will also help him discern what is going on. The good thing is that diagnosing seizures is a non invasive, non painful thing to experience! Your physician may order different things such as an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging, a diagnostic procedure that uses a magnetic field to provide three-dimensional images of internal body structures.) The other thing which is a really great tool for diagnosis seizures (sometimes nothing will show up from an MRI) is having an EEG (Electroencephalogram ) It is where they put a bunch of electrical leads that they temporarily glue (so to speak) to various part of your head and those wires lead to a computer to monitor your brain activity. Sometimes they also hook up a video camera/sound at the same time to monitor you in case you have a major episode. Since seizures can happen at any time, a 24 hour EEG may be requested from your physician so they can check your brain activity because sometimes things are more prone to show up as your sleeping. There are certain "spikes" that are indicative to seizures and not confused with other types of activity. Your neurologist will be able to determine the reading. I highly advise you get this checked out and do not drive a vehicle. Until you get this checked out I would avoid taking baths, swimming (to avoid drowning) or climbing a ladder (things of that sort) in case you did have a seizure. It is best to get to the doctor ASAP to prevent further injury to yourself and also so it does not escalate into a more serious type of seizure (it's possible but rather be safe than sorry) I don't mean to scare you. There are treatments for seizures. Your neurologist can also rule out any other diseases that could also be the cause in case it is not. Hope this helps! I am praying for you! Please keep in touch and let me know how your appointment went and how you are feeling. Hugs to you from miles away!

might be you probably did have an entire epileptic seizure... then you definitely could have your eyes open and be twitching.. and most of the time now not do not forget however think very worn out afterwards.... if now not.. then for a few rationale your blood strain obtained so low that you just collapsed .. in both case you do have to see a physician...you would be anaemic...otherwise you would have epilepsy...Did anything like that ever occur earlier than... you have to inform the physician all approximately this...or had been you on a vitamin and didn't devour? If the physician stated it was once a seizure...then you definitely have to now not force a auto and you're now not allowed to move swimming.. if that occurred while you had been using or swimming.. you'll be able to think what could occur..an coincidence with the automobile or drowning when you swim...all different physical games are allowed... xxx No running with electric equipment both!!! xxx Please move to look the physician !!!

Insurance or not, you should see a doctor. It wasn't real smart mixing the alcohol and a hot bath.

Probably you just fainted, even though you MUST see a doctor.
