assuming that christianity is correct....which idk if it is, do animals go to heaven? i was watching this left behind movie, and they showed the dogs "left behind" several times....is this true? now, i have no religion yet, but i was just wondering what you christian ppls thought... thanks

Of course animals go to heaven. Every animal goes to heaven.
Animals never sin, they do not need a religion to teach them how to be good. Regarding soul, animals have souls as much as the human animal has.

It is commonly felt they do not, stemming from the belief that humans are the only creation with a soal. This comes from the scripture passage in Genesis about man being created in God's image. Not exactly a literal answer, but that's where it comes from.
Edit - I would just like to point out that the answerer mentioning the lion and the lamb and the horsemen doesn't know what he's talking about. That's on earth, not Heaven.

No! They do not have souls. The Bible says: Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Dogs doesn't know whether their sinning or not but humans does. Therefore dogs does not go to heaven.

To answer your question, NO animals DO NOT have a soul, therefore...they do not go to heaven when they die, since they were not created in God's image. He put animals on the earth so that we could have dominion over them.

There is nothing in the bible that says they do or they don't. The bible doesn't say that animals have souls however it does talk about animals in heaven such as lion/lamb and the Revelation horses.
I am an animal lover and a Christian myself and pray that my animals are there waiting for me.
